我卻不因你們女兒的行淫而察罰她們，也不因你們兒媳婦之犯姦淫而懲辦她們；因為宗教領袖們自己也離羣而跟淫婦同居，他們自己也同廟妓行淫而獻祭；無知識的人民準會敗倒的。

爾女行姦、爾媳宣淫、我不罰之、緣爾轉就妓女、而偕淫婦獻祭、無知之民、必致傾覆、

彼與淫婦、同獻祭祀、故其妻女、雖不節不貞、亦不降罰、無道之民、終必淪亡、

爾女不貞、爾媳行淫、我亦不懲罰、蓋彼與妓同居、偕娼獻祭、無知之民、終必淪亡、

“ I will not punish your daughters when they turn to prostitution, nor your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery, because the men themselves consort with harlots and sacrifice with shrine prostitutes— a people without understanding will come to ruin!

“ I will not punish your daughters when they become prostitutes. I will not judge your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery. After all, the men themselves have sex with sinful women. They offer sacrifices where temple prostitutes earn their living. People who can’t understand will be destroyed!

I will not punish your daughters when they play the whore, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go aside with prostitutes and sacrifice with cult prostitutes, and a people without understanding shall come to ruin.

But why should I punish them for their prostitution and adultery? For your men are doing the same thing, sinning with whores and shrine prostitutes. O foolish people! You refuse to understand, so you will be destroyed.

I will not punish your daughters when they act promiscuously or your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery, for the men themselves go off with prostitutes and make sacrifices with cult prostitutes. People without discernment are doomed.

I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostitute, Or your brides when they commit adultery, Because the men themselves slip away with the prostitutes And offer sacrifices with temple prostitutes; So the people without understanding are ruined.

“ I will not punish your daughters when they commit harlotry, Nor your brides when they commit adultery; For the men themselves go apart with harlots, And offer sacrifices with a ritual harlot. Therefore people who do not understand will be trampled.

I will not punish your daughters when they play the harlot, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go apart with harlots, and they sacrifice with the prostitutes; and the people that doth not understand shall be overthrown.

I will not punish your daughters when they act promiscuously or your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery, for the men themselves go off with prostitutes and make sacrifices with cult prostitutes. People without discernment are doomed.

I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people[ that] doth not understand shall fall.

I will not punish your daughters when they commit prostitution, nor your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery. For the men consort with harlots, they sacrifice with temple prostitutes. It is true:“ A people that lacks understanding will come to ruin!”

I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostitute, nor your brides when they commit adultery; because the men consort with prostitutes, and they sacrifice with the shrine prostitutes; so the people without understanding will come to ruin.

Hear the word of the Lord, you Israelites, because the Lord has a charge to bring against you who live in the land:“ There is no faithfulness, no love, no acknowledgment of God in the land. (niv)

Ephraim is joined to idols; leave him alone! (niv)

He also tore down the quarters of the male shrine prostitutes that were in the temple of the Lord, the quarters where women did weaving for Asherah. (niv)

there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. (niv)

Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them. (niv)

They also set up for themselves high places, sacred stones and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every spreading tree.There were even male shrine prostitutes in the land; the people engaged in all the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites. (niv)

No Israelite man or woman is to become a shrine prostitute. (niv)

Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion? Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted. (niv)

He expelled the male shrine prostitutes from the land and got rid of all the idols his ancestors had made. (niv)

Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said,“ The two will become one flesh.” (niv)

Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. (niv)

They know nothing, they understand nothing; their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see, and their minds closed so they cannot understand.No one stops to think, no one has the knowledge or understanding to say,“ Half of it I used for fuel; I even baked bread over its coals, I roasted meat and I ate. Shall I make a detestable thing from what is left? Shall I bow down to a block of wood?”Such a person feeds on ashes; a deluded heart misleads him; he cannot save himself, or say,“ Is not this thing in my right hand a lie?” (niv)

Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand. (niv)

They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. (niv)

If you are not disciplined— and everyone undergoes discipline— then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. (niv)

Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the Lord understand it fully. (niv)

They are dogs with mighty appetites; they never have enough. They are shepherds who lack understanding; they all turn to their own way, they seek their own gain. (niv)

You stumble day and night, and the prophets stumble with you. So I will destroy your mother—my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.“ Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. (niv)
