現在呢、你既藐視了我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻做你的妻子，刀劍就永不離開你的家。」永恆主這麼說：「看吧，我必從你家中興起禍患來攻擊你；我必將你的妃嬪在你眼前賜給你的鄰舍；他必在這日光的鑒察下就和你的妃嬪同寢。你在暗中行事，我卻要在以色列眾人面前、在日光之前行這報應。」』

用那能敗壞的人類、飛鳥、走獸、昆蟲之像的樣式、去代換那不能朽壞的上帝之榮耀。所以在他們心裏的私慾中、上帝就把他們放給污穢、去彼此侮辱自己的身體。這種人用了假去替換上帝之真，敬拜事奉了被創造之物，而不敬奉創造之主：就是應當受祝頌、萬世無窮的。阿們。為這緣故、上帝就把他們放給卑鄙的邪情。不但他們女的把順性的用處變成了逆性的用處；就是他們男的也是這樣，放棄了女的順性的用處；他們彼此間的淫慾、如火焚燒；男的在男的身上作出羞醜的事，就在自己身上得到他們的妄為該有的報應。他們怎樣在認識上帝選擇了「無上帝」，上帝就怎樣把他們放給不上選的心思，去行不該行的事；

你們這在聖篤耨香樹中間、在各茂盛樹下慾火焚燒，在谿谷間，在碞穴下宰殺親生孩子的？

你拿了你的衣服為自己在丘廟上結五色奪目之彩，又在那上頭行淫；這樣的事將來必不會來，也必不再有的。

因為我領他們到我舉手起誓要給他們的地，他們看見各高山各茂密樹，就在那裏宰獻他們的祭物，在那裏奉上惹我發怒的供物，在那裏燒上他們怡神之香氣，在那裏澆上他們的奠祭。（我問他們說：你們所去的那高處叫做甚麼？於是那高處的名字便叫做巴麻直到今日。）

但我越發呼叫他們，他們越發離開了我，去向諸巴力獻祭，給眾雕像燻祭品。

『我的心若因人的妻子而受迷惑，而在鄰舍門外蹲伏着，那就願我妻子給別人推磨，別人也屈身、伏於她身上：

我必察罰她拜巴力的節日向巴力燻祭的罪；那時她用她的耳環和珠寶裝飾自己，跟着她的愛人走，我呢、她卻忘了；永恆主發神諭說。

你在高而峻的山上安設你的床，又上那裏去獻祭牲。

你只要承認你的罪孽，承認你怎樣悖逆了永恆主你的上帝，在各茂盛樹下向外族人的神東奔西跑，沒有聽從我的聲音：這是永恆主發神諭說的。

你在各路頭建造你的高臺，使你的美麗變為可厭惡，你又向一切過路人展開雙腿增多你的淫亂。

『因為你從古時就折斷了你的軛，掙開了你的繩索，說：「我不事奉永恆主了」；因為你在各高岡上各茂盛樹下屈身行淫。
