你們必因你們所喜愛的橡樹抱愧，必因你們所選擇的園子蒙羞。

約西亞王在位的日子，耶和華對我說：“背道的以色列所作的，她怎樣走上各高山，在每棵繁茂的樹下行淫，你看見了沒有？

他們被殺的人倒在他們偶像的中間，在他們祭壇的周圍，就是在各高岡各山頂上，在每一棵翠綠的樹下和茂盛的橡樹下，就是他們獻馨香的祭給一切偶像的地方。那時，他們就知道我是耶和華。

所以，耶和華這樣說：‘你妻子必在城中作妓女，你的兒女必倒在刀下；你的土地必被人量度瓜分，你自己必死在不潔之地；以色列必被擄，離開本國。’”

所以，從今以後，刀劍必不離開你的家，因為你藐視了我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻子作你的妻子。’耶和華這樣說：‘看哪！我必從你家中興起禍患攻擊你；我要在你的眼前把你的妃嬪拿去賜給你的同伴。他要在光天化日之下與她們同床。你在暗中行了這事，我卻要在所有以色列人面前，在光天化日之下行這事報應你。’”

他們用必朽壞的人、飛禽、走獸和昆蟲的形象，取代了永不朽壞的神的榮耀。因此，神就任憑他們順著心中的私慾去作污穢的事，以致羞辱自己的身體。他們用虛謊取代了神的真理，敬拜事奉受造之物，卻不敬拜事奉造物的主。他是永遠可稱頌的，阿們。因此，神就任憑他們放縱可恥的情慾：他們的女人把原來的性的功能，變成違反自然的功能；同樣地，男人也捨棄了女人原來的性功能，彼此慾火攻心，男人與男人作出可恥的事。他們這樣妄為，就在自己身上受到應該受的報應。他們既然故意不認識神，神就任憑他們存著敗壞的心，去作那些不正當的事。

你們在橡樹林中，在青翠樹下慾火焚心；在山谷間，在巖穴裡，宰殺自己的孩子作祭牲。

你拿了你的一些衣服，為自己建造色彩繽紛的邱壇，又在那裡行淫。這樣的事不應發生，將來也不會再出現。

我領他們到了我曾經舉手起誓要賜給他們的那地，他們看見各高山和茂盛的樹林，就在那裡獻祭，在那裡奉上惹我發怒的供物，也在那裡獻上馨香的祭，並且在那裡澆上他們的奠祭。’我問他們：‘你們所去的那高處是甚麼地方？’於是那高處的名字叫巴麻，直到今日。

可是我越發呼喚他們，他們越發走開；他們給巴力獻祭，向偶像燒香。

我的心若被女人迷惑，在別人的門口埋伏，就願我的妻子作別人的奴僕，也願別人屈身與她行淫，

她在拜眾巴力的日子，向他們燒香，佩戴耳環首飾，打扮自己，跟隨她那些愛人，卻把我遺忘，所以我必懲罰她。”這是耶和華說的。

你在高高的山上安設你的床榻，又上到那裡去獻祭。

‘只要你承認自己的罪孽，就是悖逆了耶和華你的神，在每棵繁茂的樹下，濫愛外族人的神，沒有聽從我的話。’這是耶和華的宣告。

你在各路口建造高壇，使你的美麗變為可憎的，又向每一個過路的人張開兩腿，多行淫亂。

“你從古時就折斷了自己的軛，解開了自己的繩索，說：‘我不事奉你了。’你在每個高岡上，在每棵繁茂樹下，蹲伏行淫。
