约西亚王在位的日子，耶和华对我说：“背道的以色列所作的，她怎样走上各高山，在每棵繁茂的树下行淫，你看见了没有？

他们用必朽坏的人、飞禽、走兽和昆虫的形象，取代了永不朽坏的神的荣耀。因此，神就任凭他们顺着心中的私欲去作污秽的事，以致羞辱自己的身体。他们用虚谎取代了神的真理，敬拜事奉受造之物，却不敬拜事奉造物的主。他是永远可称颂的，阿们。因此，神就任凭他们放纵可耻的情欲：他们的女人把原来的性的功能，变成违反自然的功能；同样地，男人也舍弃了女人原来的性功能，彼此欲火攻心，男人与男人作出可耻的事。他们这样妄为，就在自己身上受到应该受的报应。他们既然故意不认识神，神就任凭他们存着败坏的心，去作那些不正当的事。

你们在橡树林中，在青翠树下欲火焚心；在山谷间，在岩穴里，宰杀自己的孩子作祭牲。

你拿了你的一些衣服，为自己建造色彩缤纷的邱坛，又在那里行淫。这样的事不应发生，将来也不会再出现。

我领他们到了我曾经举手起誓要赐给他们的那地，他们看见各高山和茂盛的树林，就在那里献祭，在那里奉上惹我发怒的供物，也在那里献上馨香的祭，并且在那里浇上他们的奠祭。’我问他们：‘你们所去的那高处是什么地方？’于是那高处的名字叫巴麻，直到今日。

可是我越发呼唤他们，他们越发走开；他们给巴力献祭，向偶像烧香。

我的心若被女人迷惑，在别人的门口埋伏，就愿我的妻子作别人的奴仆，也愿别人屈身与她行淫，

你在各路口建造高坛，使你的美丽变为可憎的，又向每一个过路的人张开两腿，多行淫乱。

“你从古时就折断了自己的轭，解开了自己的绳索，说：‘我不事奉你了。’你在每个高冈上，在每棵繁茂树下，蹲伏行淫。
