你要吃，卻吃不飽；你的虛弱必顯在你中間。你必挪去，卻不得救護；所救護的，我必交給刀劍。

我要折斷你們的杖，就是斷絕你們的糧。那時，必有十個女人在一個爐子給你們烤餅，按分量秤給你們；你們要吃，也吃不飽。

你們撒的種多，收的卻少；你們吃，卻不得飽；喝，卻不得足；穿衣服，卻不得暖；得工錢的，將工錢裝在破漏的囊中。」

至於以法蓮人，他們的榮耀必如鳥飛去，必不生產，不懷胎，不成孕。縱然養大兒女，我卻必使他們喪子，甚至不留一個。我離棄他們，他們就有禍了。我看以法蓮如泰爾栽於美地。以法蓮卻要將自己的兒女帶出來，交與行殺戮的人。耶和華啊，求你加給他們－加甚麼呢？要使他們胎墜乳乾。耶和華說：他們一切的惡事都在吉甲；我在那裏憎惡他們。因他們所行的惡，我必從我地上趕出他們去，不再憐愛他們；他們的首領都是悖逆的。以法蓮受責罰，根本枯乾，必不能結果，即或生產，我必殺他們所生的愛子。我的神必棄絕他們，因為他們不聽從他；他們也必飄流在列國中。

耶何耶大死後，猶大的眾首領來朝拜王；王就聽從他們。

義人吃得飽足；惡人肚腹缺糧。

他口中的言語盡是罪孽詭詐；他與智慧善行已經斷絕。

你們的女兒淫亂，你們的新婦行淫，我卻不懲罰她們；因為你們自己離羣與娼妓同居，與妓女一同獻祭。這無知的民必致傾倒。

義人若轉離義行而作罪孽，照着惡人所行一切可憎的事而行，他豈能存活嗎？他所行的一切義都不被記念；他必因所犯的罪、所行的惡死亡。

至於那偏行彎曲道路的人，耶和華必使他和作惡的人一同出去受刑。願平安歸於以色列！

所以，主耶和華如此說：我的僕人必得吃，你們卻飢餓；我的僕人必得喝，你們卻乾渴；我的僕人必歡喜，你們卻蒙羞。我的僕人因心中高興歡呼，你們卻因心中憂愁哀哭，又因心裏憂傷哀號。你們必留下自己的名，為我選民指着賭咒。主耶和華必殺你們，另起別名稱呼他的僕人。這樣，在地上為自己求福的，必憑真實的神求福；在地上起誓的，必指真實的神起誓。因為，從前的患難已經忘記，也從我眼前隱藏了。

如今你們回轉，行我眼中看為正的事，各人向鄰舍宣告自由，並且在稱為我名下的殿中、在我面前立約。

「眾祭司啊，這誡命是傳給你們的。萬軍之耶和華說：你們若不聽從，也不放在心上，將榮耀歸與我的名，我就使咒詛臨到你們，使你們的福分變為咒詛；因你們不把誡命放在心上，我已經咒詛你們了。我必斥責你們的種子，又把你們犧牲的糞抹在你們的臉上；你們要與糞一同除掉。

與那些轉去不跟從耶和華的，和不尋求耶和華也不訪問他的。

倘若他們因認識主－救主耶穌基督，得以脫離世上的污穢，後來又在其中被纏住、制伏，他們末後的景況就比先前更不好了。他們曉得義路，竟背棄了傳給他們的聖命，倒不如不曉得為妙。俗語說得真不錯：狗所吐的，牠轉過來又吃；豬洗淨了又回到泥裏去滾；這話在他們身上正合式。
