They will be my people, and I will be their God.“‘ My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees.They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever.

I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd.I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David will be prince among them. I the Lord have spoken.

Then, when I make atonement for you for all you have done, you will remember and be ashamed and never again open your mouth because of your humiliation, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

“ The days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.

Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.See, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a ruler and commander of the peoples.

After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.

I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in,

“ In that day I will restore David’s fallen shelter— I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins— and will rebuild it as it used to be,

When they go with their flocks and herds to seek the Lord, they will not find him; he has withdrawn himself from them.

When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the Lord your God and obey him.

“ Return, faithless people; I will cure you of backsliding.”“ Yes, we will come to you, for you are the Lord our God.Surely the idolatrous commotion on the hills and mountains is a deception; surely in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel.

If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

In that day the Lord will thresh from the flowing Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt, and you, Israel, will be gathered up one by one.And in that day a great trumpet will sound. Those who were perishing in Assyria and those who were exiled in Egypt will come and worship the Lord on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.

You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.

Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.”

Now I am going back to my people, but come, let me warn you of what this people will do to your people in days to come.”

Then I will return to my lair until they have borne their guilt and seek my face— in their misery they will earnestly seek me.”

but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you were lying in bed are these:

When all Israel saw that the king refused to listen to them, they answered the king:“ What share do we have in David, what part in Jesse’s son? To your tents, Israel! Look after your own house, David!” So the Israelites went home.

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

For this is what the Lord says:‘ David will never fail to have a man to sit on the throne of Israel,

“‘ After this I will return and rebuild David’s fallen tent. Its ruins I will rebuild, and I will restore it,that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who bear my name, says the Lord, who does these things’—things known from long ago.

Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.’

There will be a day when watchmen cry out on the hills of Ephraim,‘ Come, let us go up to Zion, to the Lord our God.’”This is what the Lord says:“ Sing with joy for Jacob; shout for the foremost of the nations. Make your praises heard, and say,‘ Lord, save your people, the remnant of Israel.’See, I will bring them from the land of the north and gather them from the ends of the earth. Among them will be the blind and the lame, expectant mothers and women in labor; a great throng will return.They will come with weeping; they will pray as I bring them back. I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble, because I am Israel’s father, and Ephraim is my firstborn son.“ Hear the word of the Lord, you nations; proclaim it in distant coastlands:‘ He who scattered Israel will gather them and will watch over his flock like a shepherd.’

The fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart. In days to come you will understand this.
