The LORD said to me,“ Go, show love to your wife again, even though she loves another man and continually commits adultery. Likewise, the LORD loves the Israelites although they turn to other gods and love to offer raisin cakes to idols.”

耶和华对我说：“你再去爱一个淫妇，就是她情人所爱的；好像以色列人，虽然偏向别神，喜爱葡萄饼，耶和华还是爱他们。”

耶和华又对我说：“你去爱那情人所爱却犯奸淫的妇人，正如耶和华爱那偏向别神、喜爱葡萄饼的以色列人。”

耶和华又对我说：“你去爱那情人所爱却犯奸淫的妇人，正如耶和华爱那偏向别神、喜爱葡萄饼的以色列人。”

耶和华对何西阿说：“你要再去爱那个另有新欢的淫妇，像耶和华爱以色列人一样爱她。尽管他们祭拜别的神明，喜爱葡萄饼，耶和华仍然爱他们。”

耶和华对我说：“你再去爱一个妇人，这妇人是为情人所爱，又是个淫妇，就像耶和华爱以色列人，虽然他们转去跟随别神，喜爱葡萄饼。”

耶和華對我說：「你再去愛一個淫婦，就是她情人所愛的；好像以色列人，雖然偏向別神，喜愛葡萄餅，耶和華還是愛他們。」

耶和華又對我說：「你去愛那情人所愛卻犯姦淫的婦人，正如耶和華愛那偏向別神、喜愛葡萄餅的以色列人。」

耶和華又對我說：「你去愛那情人所愛卻犯姦淫的婦人，正如耶和華愛那偏向別神、喜愛葡萄餅的以色列人。」

耶和華對何西阿說：「你要再去愛那個另有新歡的淫婦，像耶和華愛以色列人一樣愛她。儘管他們祭拜別的神明，喜愛葡萄餅，耶和華仍然愛他們。」

耶和華對我說：“你再去愛一個婦人，這婦人是為情人所愛，又是個淫婦，就像耶和華愛以色列人，雖然他們轉去跟隨別神，喜愛葡萄餅。”

永恆主對我說：『你再去、愛這婦人，她情人所愛、又是淫婦的；好像永恆主愛以色列人；雖然他們偏向別的神，喜愛葡萄餅，永恆主還是愛他們。』

耶和華諭我曰、爾其復往、愛彼淫婦、他人所愛者、如以色列人雖轉向他神、嗜其葡萄餅、耶和華仍愛之、

耶和華告我曰、維彼淫婦、從其所歡、爾眷愛之、以色列族從事他上帝、所奉之酒、彼樂飲焉、余愛斯民亦若是、

主諭我曰、爾再往、愛人所愛之淫婦、以指主雖眷愛以色列人、彼反向他神、喜所獻於偶像之葡萄餅、或作爾再往眷愛一婦婦雖為夫所愛而婦將行淫猶如主眷愛以色列人以色列人仍向他神喜所獻於偶像之葡萄餅

The Lord said to me,“ Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another man and is an adulteress. Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes.”

The Lord said to me,“ Go. Show your love to your wife again. She is loved by another man. And she has committed adultery. But I want you to love her just as I love the people of Israel. They turn to other gods. And they love to offer raisin cakes to Baal and eat them. In spite of that, I love my people.”

And the Lord said to me,“ Go again, love a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress, even as the Lord loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love cakes of raisins.”

Then the Lord said to me,“ Go and love your wife again, even though she commits adultery with another lover. This will illustrate that the Lord still loves Israel, even though the people have turned to other gods and love to worship them.”

Then the LORD said to me,“ Go again; show love to a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress, just as the LORD loves the Israelites though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.”

Then the Lord said to me,“ Go again, love a woman who is loved by her husband, yet is committing adultery, as the Lord loves the sons of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.”

Then the Lord said to me,“ Go again, love a woman who is loved by a lover and is committing adultery, just like the love of the Lord for the children of Israel, who look to other gods and love the raisin cakes of the pagans.”

And Jehovah said unto me, Go again, love a woman beloved of her friend, and an adulteress, even as Jehovah loveth the children of Israel, though they turn unto other gods, and love cakes of raisins.

Then the Lord said to me,“ Go again; show love to a woman who is loved by another man and is an adulteress, just as the Lord loves the Israelites though they turn to other gods and love raisin cakes.”

Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of[ her] friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.

Yahweh said to me,“ Go again, love a woman loved by another, and an adulteress, even as Yahweh loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods, and love cakes of raisins.”

When the LORD first spoke through Hosea, he said to him,“ Go marry a prostitute who will bear illegitimate children conceived through prostitution, because the nation continually commits spiritual prostitution by turning away from the LORD.”So Hosea married Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim. Then she conceived and gave birth to a son for him.

But, you have been unfaithful to me, nation of Israel, like an unfaithful wife who has left her husband,” says the LORD.

“ If a man divorces his wife and she leaves him and becomes another man’s wife, he may not take her back again. Doing that would utterly defile the land. But you, Israel, have given yourself as a prostitute to many gods. So what makes you think you can return to me?” says the LORD.“ Look up at the hilltops and consider this. You have had sex with other gods on every one of them. You waited for those gods like a thief lying in wait in the desert. You defiled the land by your wicked prostitution to other gods.That is why the rains have been withheld, and the spring rains have not come. Yet in spite of this you are obstinate as a prostitute. You refuse to be ashamed of what you have done.Even now you say to me,‘ You are my father! You have been my faithful companion ever since I was young.

“ Go and shout this message to my people in the countries in the north. Tell them,‘ Come back to me, wayward Israel,’ says the LORD.‘ I will not continue to look on you with displeasure. For I am merciful,’ says the LORD.‘ I will not be angry with you forever.However, you must confess that you have done wrong, and that you have rebelled against the LORD your God. You must confess that you have given yourself to foreign gods under every green tree, and have not obeyed my commands,’ says the LORD.“ Come back to me, my wayward sons,” says the LORD,“ for I am your true master. If you do, I will take one of you from each town and two of you from each family group, and I will bring you back to Zion.

There is no other God like you! You forgive sin and pardon the rebellion of those who remain among your people. You do not remain angry forever, but delight in showing loyal love.You will once again have mercy on us; you will conquer our evil deeds; you will hurl our sins into the depths of the sea.You will be loyal to Jacob and extend your loyal love to Abraham, which you promised on oath to our ancestors in ancient times.

Indeed, the people of Israel are my dear children. They are the children I take delight in. For even though I must often rebuke them, I still remember them with fondness. So I am deeply moved with pity for them and will surely have compassion on them. I, the LORD, affirm it!

Turn to me so you can be delivered, all you who live in the earth’s remote regions! For I am God, and I have no peer.

Many times he delivered them, but they had a rebellious attitude, and degraded themselves by their sin.Yet he took notice of their distress, when he heard their cry for help.He remembered his covenant with them, and relented because of his great loyal love.He caused all their conquerors to have pity on them.

But I will keep watching for the LORD; I will wait for the God who delivers me. My God will hear my lament.

O Israel, do not rejoice jubilantly like the nations, for you are unfaithful to your God. You love to receive a prostitute’s wages on all the floors where you thresh your grain.Threshing floors and wine vats will not feed the people, and new wine only deceives them.

They threw away the foreign gods they owned and worshiped the LORD. Finally the LORD grew tired of seeing Israel suffer so much.

But the LORD had mercy on them and felt pity for them. He extended his favor to them because of the promise he had made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He has been unwilling to destroy them or remove them from his presence to this very day.

They stretch out on clothing seized as collateral; they do so right beside every altar! They drink wine bought with the fines they have levied; they do so right in the temple of their God!

Look, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female servant look to the hand of her mistress, so my eyes will look to the LORD, our God, until he shows us favor.

How can I give you up, O Ephraim? How can I surrender you, O Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? I have had a change of heart! All my tender compassions are aroused!

Old and new wine take away the understanding of my people.

They drink wine from sacrificial bowls, and pour the very best oils on themselves. Yet they are not concerned over the ruin of Joseph.

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot take part in the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

“‘ Therefore,’ says the LORD,‘ I have become compassionate toward Jerusalem and will rebuild my temple in it,’ says the LORD who rules over all.‘ Once more a surveyor’s measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem.’

He then handed out to each member of the entire assembly of Israel, both men and women, a portion of bread, a date cake, and a raisin cake. Then all the people went home.

For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. He has chosen you to be his people, prized above all others on the face of the earth.It is not because you were more numerous than all the other peoples that the LORD favored and chose you– for in fact you were the least numerous of all peoples.

Jesus said to him,“ Friend, do what you are here to do.” Then they came and took hold of Jesus and arrested him.

At the celebration of their king, his princes become inflamed with wine; they conspire with evildoers.

For the time that has passed was sufficient for you to do what the non- Christians desire. You lived then in debauchery, evil desires, drunkenness, carousing, drinking bouts, and wanton idolatries.

He has helped his servant Israel, remembering his mercy,as he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”

So do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written,“ The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.”

So they got up early on the next day and offered up burnt offerings and brought peace offerings, and the people sat down to eat and drink, and they rose up to play.

even when they made a cast image of a calf for themselves and said,‘ This is your God who brought you up from Egypt,’ or when they committed atrocious blasphemies.“ Due to your great compassion you did not abandon them in the desert. The pillar of cloud did not stop guiding them in the path by day, nor did the pillar of fire stop illuminating for them by night the path on which they should travel.

They went out to the field, harvested their grapes, squeezed out the juice, and celebrated. They came to the temple of their god and ate, drank, and cursed Abimelech.

However, due to your abundant mercy you did not do away with them altogether; you did not abandon them. For you are a merciful and compassionate God.

At that time men will trust in their creator; they will depend on the Holy One of Israel.They will no longer trust in the altars their hands made, or depend on the Asherah poles and incense altars their fingers made.
