我必使之居於斯地、或作我必以之栽植國中原文作我必種之於斯地必矜憫素未蒙矜憫者、謂非為我民者曰、爾乃我民、彼亦必曰、主乃我天主、

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.In the past, you were not a people, but now are God’s people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say,‘ It is my people;’ and they will say,‘ Yahweh is my God.’”

All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to Yahweh. All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.

For from the rising of the sun even to its going down, my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering: for my name is great among the nations,” says Yahweh of Armies.

Many nations shall join themselves to Yahweh in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell among you, and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you.

Saul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the assembly which was in Jerusalem in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles.Devout men buried Stephen and lamented greatly over him.But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into every house and dragged both men and women off to prison.Therefore those who were scattered abroad went around preaching the word.
