As indeed he says in Hosea,“ Those who were not my people I will call‘ my people,’ and her who was not beloved I will call‘ beloved.’”“ And in the very place where it was said to them,‘ You are not my people,’ there they will be called‘ sons of the living God.’”

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. I will say,‘ They are my people’; and they will say,‘ The Lord is my God.’”

Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,

And the Lord said,“ Call his name Not My People, for you are not my people, and I am not your God.”Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. And in the place where it was said to them,“ You are not my people,” it shall be said to them,“ Children of the living God.”

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,“ Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

You have declared today that the Lord is your God, and that you will walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his rules, and will obey his voice.And the Lord has declared today that you are a people for his treasured possession, as he has promised you, and that you are to keep all his commandments,and that he will set you in praise and in fame and in honor high above all nations that he has made, and that you shall be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.”

All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you.

For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name will be great among the nations, says the Lord of hosts.

And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.

Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the Lord.Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying,‘ Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”

“ Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and the seed of beast.

O Lord, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in the day of trouble, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth and say:“ Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, worthless things in which there is no profit.

Nobles shall come from Egypt; Cush shall hasten to stretch out her hands to God.

For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience,so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy.For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.

For they themselves report concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and his name one.

May there be abundance of grain in the land; on the tops of the mountains may it wave; may its fruit be like Lebanon; and may people blossom in the cities like the grass of the field!

Though I scattered them among the nations, yet in far countries they shall remember me, and with their children they shall live and return.

My beloved is mine, and I am his; he grazes among the lilies.

You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you.

This one will say,‘ I am the Lord’s,’ another will call on the name of Jacob, and another will write on his hand,‘ The Lord’s,’ and name himself by the name of Israel.”

To me they cry,“ My God, we— Israel— know you.”

And Saul approved of his execution. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.Devout men buried Stephen and made great lamentation over him.But Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and committed them to prison.Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.
