So now I will expose her lewdness before the eyes of her lovers; no one will take her out of my hands.

Now I will expose her shame in the sight of her lovers, and no one will rescue her from My hands.

And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.

Soon I will expose her lewd nakedness in front of her lovers, and no one will be able to rescue her from me!

Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and no one will deliver her out of my hand.

They will treat you with hatred and rob you of all you own, leaving you stark naked. The shame of your prostitution will be exposed to all the world.

“ When Israel and Judah saw how sick they were, Israel turned to Assyria— to the great king there— but he could neither help nor cure them.I will be like a lion to Israel, like a strong young lion to Judah. I will tear them to pieces! I will carry them off, and no one will be left to rescue them.

I myself will strip you and expose you to shame.

Repent, all of you who forget me, or I will tear you apart, and no one will help you.

So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time— before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you have poured out your lust and exposed yourself in prostitution to all your lovers, and because you have worshiped detestable idols, and because you have slaughtered your children as sacrifices to your gods,this is what I am going to do. I will gather together all your allies— the lovers with whom you have sinned, both those you loved and those you hated— and I will strip you naked in front of them so they can stare at you.

The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!

The remnant left in Israel will take their place among the nations. They will be like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a strong young lion among flocks of sheep and goats, pouncing and tearing as they go with no rescuer in sight.

You may ask yourself,“ Why is all this happening to me?” It is because of your many sins! That is why you have been stripped and raped by invading armies.

So now I will attack you like a lion, like a leopard that lurks along the road.Like a bear whose cubs have been taken away, I will tear out your heart. I will devour you like a hungry lioness and mangle you like a wild animal.

Evil people will surely be punished, but the children of the godly will go free.

So the Lord will send scabs on her head; the Lord will make beautiful Zion bald.”

Otherwise, I will strip her as naked as she was on the day she was born. I will leave her to die of thirst, as in a dry and barren wilderness.
