If you then, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

There is no other God like you! You forgive sin and pardon the rebellion of those who remain among your people. You do not remain angry forever, but delight in showing loyal love.You will once again have mercy on us; you will conquer our evil deeds; you will hurl our sins into the depths of the sea.

And why do you not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? For now I will lie down in the dust, and you will seek me diligently, but I will be gone.”

The angel spoke up to those standing all around,“ Remove his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua,“ I have freely forgiven your iniquity and will dress you in fine clothing.”

you yourselves, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood and to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

So pray this way: Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored,may your kingdom come, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.Give us today our daily bread,and forgive us our debts, as we ourselves have forgiven our debtors.And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

David felt guilty after he had numbered the army. David said to the LORD,“ I have sinned greatly by doing this! Now, O LORD, please remove the guilt of your servant, for I have acted very foolishly.”

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

“ Has anyone said to God,‘ I have endured chastisement, but I will not act wrongly any more.Teach me what I cannot see. If I have done evil, I will do so no more.’

Then his son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’But the father said to his slaves,‘ Hurry! He touched my mouth with it and said,“ Look, this coal has touched your lips. Your evil is removed; your sin is forgiven.”

So he said to them,“ When you pray, say: Father, may your name be honored; may your kingdom come.Give us each day our daily bread,and forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And do not lead us into temptation.”

On the next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,“ Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

And this is my covenant with them, when I take away their sins.”

For the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins.

I will sprinkle you with pure water and you will be clean from all your impurities. I will purify you from all your idols.I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh.

And you know that Jesus was revealed to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.
