今干罪愈甚、以銀鑄像、循其聰明造偶、悉為工匠所製、指之而言曰、任獻祭者與犢接吻、

今為惡益甚、匠人以巧捷之技、鎔銀鑄像、祭司命眾、敬彼犢像、接吻以為禮、

今犯罪益甚、以銀鑄神像、用機巧作偶像、悉為匠人所造、人皆曰獻祭之人、始可與犢犢見八章五節小註接吻、人皆曰獻祭之人始可與犢接吻或作人論彼曰彼以人獻祭反與犢接吻又作祭司謂眾曰以人獻祭者始可與犢接吻

Now they sin more and more; they make idols for themselves from their silver, cleverly fashioned images, all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of these people,“ They offer human sacrifices! They kiss calf- idols!”

Now they sin more and more. They use their silver to make statues of gods for themselves. The statues come from their own clever ideas. Skilled workers make all of them. The people pray to these gods. They offer human sacrifices to them. They kiss the gods that look like calves.

And now they sin more and more, and make for themselves metal images, idols skillfully made of their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of them,“ Those who offer human sacrifice kiss calves!”

Now they continue to sin by making silver idols, images shaped skillfully with human hands.“ Sacrifice to these,” they cry,“ and kiss the calf idols!”

Now they continue to sin and make themselves a cast image, idols skillfully made from their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. People say about them,“ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves.”

And now they sin more and more, And make for themselves cast metal images, Idols skillfully made from their silver, All of them the work of craftsmen. They say of them,“ Let the people who sacrifice kiss the calves!”

Now they sin more and more, And have made for themselves molded images, Idols of their silver, according to their skill; All of it is the work of craftsmen. They say of them,“ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves!”

And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

Now they continue to sin and make themselves a cast image, idols skillfully made from their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. People say about them,“ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves.”

And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver,[ and] idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

Even now they persist in sin! They make metal images for themselves, idols that they skillfully fashion from their own silver; all of them are nothing but the work of craftsmen! There is a saying about them:“ Those who sacrifice to the calf idol are calf kissers!”

Now they sin more and more, and have made themselves molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen. They say of them,‘ They offer human sacrifice and kiss the calves.’

他們從錢囊中倒出金子，用天平秤出銀子，雇銀匠造成神像，他們又俯伏，又叩拜。

但我在以色列中留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝，未曾親吻巴力的。」

人用金銀妝飾它，用釘子和錘子釘穩，使它不動搖。

然後又用剩下的一半做了一個神明，就是雕刻的偶像，向這偶像俯伏叩拜，向它禱告說：「求你拯救我，因你是我的神明。」他們既無知，又不思想；因為耶和華蒙蔽他們的眼，使他們看不見，塞住他們的心，使他們不明白。沒有一個心裏醒悟，有知識，有聰明，能說：「我曾拿一部分用火燃燒，在炭火上烤餅，也烤肉來吃。這剩下的，我豈要做可憎之像嗎？我豈可向木頭叩拜呢？」他以灰塵為食，心裏迷糊，以致偏邪，不能自救，也不能說：「我右手中豈不是有虛謊嗎？」

她不知道是我給她五穀、新酒和新的油，又加添她的金銀；他們卻用來供奉巴力。

偶像有甚麼益處呢？製造者雕刻它，鑄成偶像，作虛假的教師；製造者倚靠的是自己所做的啞巴偶像。禍哉！那對木頭說「醒起」，對啞巴石頭說「起來」的人！偶像豈能教導人呢？看哪，它以金銀包裹，其中並無氣息。

但上帝的指示是怎麼對他說的呢？他說：「我為自己留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝的。」

他們自以為聰明，反成了愚昧，將不能朽壞之上帝的榮耀變為偶像，仿照必朽壞的人、飛禽、走獸、爬蟲的形像。所以，上帝任憑他們隨着心裏的情慾行污穢的事，以致彼此羞辱自己的身體。他們將上帝的真實變為虛謊，去敬拜事奉受造之物，不敬奉那造物的主－主是可稱頌的，直到永遠。阿們！

刀劍必臨到他們的城鎮，毀壞門閂，吞滅眾人，都因他們自己的計謀。

撒母耳拿一瓶膏油倒在掃羅的頭上，親吻他，說：「耶和華豈不是膏你作他產業的君王嗎？

只是作惡的和騙人的將變本加厲，迷惑人也被人迷惑。

當親吻兒子，免得他發怒，你們就在半途中滅亡，因為他的怒氣快要發作。凡投靠他的，都是有福的。

他們如同畜牲，盡都愚昧。偶像的訓誨算甚麼呢？偶像不過是木頭，

耶和華說：「禍哉！這悖逆的兒女。他們同謀，卻不出於我，結盟，卻不出於我的靈，以致罪上加罪。

因這牛犢是出於以色列，是匠人所造的，並不是上帝。撒瑪利亞的牛犢必被打碎。

你們當記得這事，立定心意。叛逆的人哪，要留心思想。

以色列是茂盛的葡萄樹，結果繁多。果子越多，就越增添祭壇；土地越肥美，就越建造美麗的柱像。

有耳卻不能聽，口中也沒有氣息。造它們的要像它們一樣，凡靠它們的也必如此。

看哪，你們這一夥罪人，竟然接續你們父執之輩，再增加耶和華對以色列所發的怒氣。

你們為甚麼屢次悖逆，繼續受責打呢？你們已經滿頭疼痛，全心發昏；

但他不像他父親瑪拿西在耶和華面前那樣謙卑下來。這亞們的罪越犯越大。

你竟放任你剛硬不悔改的心，為自己累積憤怒！在憤怒的日子，上帝公義的審判要顯示出來。

「你們從列國逃脫的人，要一同聚集前來。那些抬着雕刻的木偶、祈求不能救人之神明的，毫無知識。

他們的偶像是金的，是銀的，是人手所造的，有口卻不能言，有眼卻不能看，有耳卻不能聽，有鼻卻不能聞，有手卻不能摸，有腳卻不能走，有喉卻不能說話。造它們的要像它們一樣，凡靠它們的也必如此。

對他們說：「你們不可把這些被擄的人帶到這裏，因我們已經得罪耶和華了。你們還想加增我們的罪惡過犯嗎？因為我們的罪過深重，已經有烈怒臨到以色列了。」

他們立君王，並非出於我；立官長，我卻不知道。他們用金銀為自己製造偶像，以致被剪除。
