Now they sin more and more; they make idols for themselves from their silver, cleverly fashioned images, all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of these people,“ They offer human sacrifices! They kiss calf- idols!”

Now they sin more and more. They use their silver to make statues of gods for themselves. The statues come from their own clever ideas. Skilled workers make all of them. The people pray to these gods. They offer human sacrifices to them. They kiss the gods that look like calves.

And now they sin more and more, and make for themselves metal images, idols skillfully made of their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of them,“ Those who offer human sacrifice kiss calves!”

Now they continue to sin by making silver idols, images shaped skillfully with human hands.“ Sacrifice to these,” they cry,“ and kiss the calf idols!”

Now they continue to sin and make themselves a cast image, idols skillfully made from their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. People say about them,“ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves.”

And now they sin more and more, And make for themselves cast metal images, Idols skillfully made from their silver, All of them the work of craftsmen. They say of them,“ Let the people who sacrifice kiss the calves!”

Now they sin more and more, And have made for themselves molded images, Idols of their silver, according to their skill; All of it is the work of craftsmen. They say of them,“ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves!”

And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

Now they continue to sin and make themselves a cast image, idols skillfully made from their silver, all of them the work of craftsmen. People say about them,“ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves.”

And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver,[ and] idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.

Even now they persist in sin! They make metal images for themselves, idols that they skillfully fashion from their own silver; all of them are nothing but the work of craftsmen! There is a saying about them:“ Those who sacrifice to the calf idol are calf kissers!”

Now they sin more and more, and have made themselves molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen. They say of them,‘ They offer human sacrifice and kiss the calves.’

他们从钱囊中倒出金子，用天平秤出银子，雇银匠造成神像，他们又俯伏，又叩拜。

但我在以色列中留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝，未曾亲吻巴力的。”

人用金银妆饰它，用钉子和锤子钉稳，使它不动摇。

然后又用剩下的一半做了一个神明，就是雕刻的偶像，向这偶像俯伏叩拜，向它祷告说：“求你拯救我，因你是我的神明。”他们既无知，又不思想；因为耶和华蒙蔽他们的眼，使他们看不见，塞住他们的心，使他们不明白。没有一个心里醒悟，有知识，有聪明，能说：“我曾拿一部分用火燃烧，在炭火上烤饼，也烤肉来吃。这剩下的，我岂要做可憎之像吗？我岂可向木头叩拜呢？”他以灰尘为食，心里迷糊，以致偏邪，不能自救，也不能说：“我右手中岂不是有虚谎吗？”

她不知道是我给她五谷、新酒和新的油，又加添她的金银；他们却用来供奉巴力。

偶像有什么益处呢？制造者雕刻它，铸成偶像，作虚假的教师；制造者倚靠的是自己所做的哑巴偶像。祸哉！那对木头说“醒起”，对哑巴石头说“起来”的人！偶像岂能教导人呢？看哪，它以金银包裹，其中并无气息。

但神的指示是怎么对他说的呢？他说：“我为自己留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝的。”

他们自以为聪明，反成了愚昧，将不能朽坏之神的荣耀变为偶像，仿照必朽坏的人、飞禽、走兽、爬虫的形像。所以，神任凭他们随着心里的情欲行污秽的事，以致彼此羞辱自己的身体。他们将神的真实变为虚谎，去敬拜事奉受造之物，不敬奉那造物的主—主是可称颂的，直到永远。阿们！

刀剑必临到他们的城镇，毁坏门闩，吞灭众人，都因他们自己的计谋。

撒母耳拿一瓶膏油倒在扫罗的头上，亲吻他，说：“耶和华岂不是膏你作他产业的君王吗？

只是作恶的和骗人的将变本加厉，迷惑人也被人迷惑。

当亲吻儿子，免得他发怒，你们就在半途中灭亡，因为他的怒气快要发作。凡投靠他的，都是有福的。

他们如同畜牲，尽都愚昧。偶像的训诲算什么呢？偶像不过是木头，

耶和华说：“祸哉！这悖逆的儿女。他们同谋，却不出于我，结盟，却不出于我的灵，以致罪上加罪。

因这牛犊是出于以色列，是匠人所造的，并不是神。撒玛利亚的牛犊必被打碎。

你们当记得这事，立定心意。叛逆的人哪，要留心思想。

以色列是茂盛的葡萄树，结果繁多。果子越多，就越增添祭坛；土地越肥美，就越建造美丽的柱像。

有耳却不能听，口中也没有气息。造它们的要像它们一样，凡靠它们的也必如此。

看哪，你们这一伙罪人，竟然接续你们父执之辈，再增加耶和华对以色列所发的怒气。

你们为什么屡次悖逆，继续受责打呢？你们已经满头疼痛，全心发昏；

但他不像他父亲玛拿西在耶和华面前那样谦卑下来。这亚们的罪越犯越大。

你竟放任你刚硬不悔改的心，为自己累积愤怒！在愤怒的日子，神公义的审判要显示出来。

“你们从列国逃脱的人，要一同聚集前来。那些抬着雕刻的木偶、祈求不能救人之神明的，毫无知识。

他们的偶像是金的，是银的，是人手所造的，有口却不能言，有眼却不能看，有耳却不能听，有鼻却不能闻，有手却不能摸，有脚却不能走，有喉却不能说话。造它们的要像它们一样，凡靠它们的也必如此。

对他们说：“你们不可把这些被掳的人带到这里，因我们已经得罪耶和华了。你们还想加增我们的罪恶过犯吗？因为我们的罪过深重，已经有烈怒临到以色列了。”

他们立君王，并非出于我；立官长，我却不知道。他们用金银为自己制造偶像，以致被剪除。
