以法蓮雖在昆弟之中、最為昌熾、我耶和華必使東風來自曠野、使其泉源立涸、彼之寶器、盡為敵虜、

彼在兄弟之中、雖為昌熾、將有東風、即主之風、來自曠野、將有東風即主之風來自曠野或作必有東風至主必使風自曠野而來使其泉竭源涸、敵必劫掠所積蓄之一切寶器、

even though he thrives among his brothers. An east wind from the Lord will come, blowing in from the desert; his spring will fail and his well dry up. His storehouse will be plundered of all its treasures.

Even though they are doing well among the other tribes, trouble will come to them. I will send a hot and dry wind from the east. It will blow in from the desert. Their springs will not have any water. Their wells will dry up. All their treasures will be taken out of their storerooms.

Though he may flourish among his brothers, the east wind, the wind of the Lord, shall come, rising from the wilderness, and his fountain shall dry up; his spring shall be parched; it shall strip his treasury of every precious thing.

Ephraim was the most fruitful of all his brothers, but the east wind— a blast from the Lord— will arise in the desert. All their flowing springs will run dry, and all their wells will disappear. Every precious thing they own will be plundered and carried away.

但在烈怒中它被拔出，摔在地上；東風吹乾其果子，那堅固的枝幹因折斷而枯乾，被火燒燬；

看哪，葡萄樹雖然栽種了，豈能發旺呢？一經東風擊打，豈不全然枯乾了嗎？它必在生長的苗圃中枯乾了。」

約瑟是多結果子的樹枝，是泉旁多結果的枝子；他的枝條伸出牆外。

那時，必有話對這百姓和耶路撒冷說：「來自曠野光禿高地的熱風吹向我的百姓，不是為簸揚，也不是為揚淨。

他給次子起名叫以法蓮，因為他說：「上帝使我在受苦的地方興盛。」

以法蓮，他們的榮耀如鳥飛去，必不生產，不懷胎，不成孕；

風把他們捲在翅膀裏，他們必因所獻的祭蒙羞。

願他的後人斷絕，名字被塗去，不傳於下代！

為了祖先的罪孽，要預備他子孫的屠宰場，免得他們興起，奪得全地，使城市遍滿地面。」

我要將這城中一切的貨財和勞碌得來的，並一切的珍寶，以及猶大君王所有的寶物，都交在仇敵手中。仇敵要搶奪他們，抓住他們，把他們帶到巴比倫去。

他父親卻不肯，說：「我知道，我兒，我知道。他也要成為一族，也要強大。可是他的弟弟將來比他還要強大；他弟弟的後裔要成為許多國家。」

下邊，他的根要枯乾；上邊，他的枝子要剪除。

他是牛羣中頭生的，大有威嚴；他的雙角是野牛的角，用以牴觸萬民，直到地極。這對角是以法蓮的萬萬，這對角是瑪拿西的千千。』

你們搶奪金子吧！你們搶奪銀子吧！因為所積蓄的無窮，華美的寶器無數。

列邦喧鬧，如同大水滔滔；但上帝一斥責，他們就遠遠躲避，他們被追趕，如同山上風前的糠粃，又如暴風前的碎稭；

惡人並不是這樣，卻像糠粃被風吹散。

所以，耶和華如此說：看哪，我必為你伸冤，為你報仇；我必使巴比倫的海枯竭，使它的泉源乾涸。

你要簸揚它們，風要將它們吹去；旋風要颳散它們。你卻要以耶和華為喜樂，因以色列的聖者誇耀。

以色列是茂盛的葡萄樹，結果繁多。果子越多，就越增添祭壇；土地越肥美，就越建造美麗的柱像。

把他們的神像和鑄成的偶像，與金銀寶器都擄掠到埃及去。數年之內，他不去攻擊北方的王。
