彼在兄弟之中、雖為昌熾、將有東風、即主之風、來自曠野、將有東風即主之風來自曠野或作必有東風至主必使風自曠野而來使其泉竭源涸、敵必劫掠所積蓄之一切寶器、

even though he thrives among his brothers. An east wind from the Lord will come, blowing in from the desert; his spring will fail and his well dry up. His storehouse will be plundered of all its treasures.

Even though they are doing well among the other tribes, trouble will come to them. I will send a hot and dry wind from the east. It will blow in from the desert. Their springs will not have any water. Their wells will dry up. All their treasures will be taken out of their storerooms.

Though he may flourish among his brothers, the east wind, the wind of the Lord, shall come, rising from the wilderness, and his fountain shall dry up; his spring shall be parched; it shall strip his treasury of every precious thing.

Ephraim was the most fruitful of all his brothers, but the east wind— a blast from the Lord— will arise in the desert. All their flowing springs will run dry, and all their wells will disappear. Every precious thing they own will be plundered and carried away.

但這葡萄樹因上帝的烈怒而被拔出，摔在地上；東風給吹乾了；其枝條折斷下來；它剛勁的枝榦枯乾了，火給燒燬了。

看哪，葡萄樹固然是被移植了，然而哪能發旺呢？東風一擊打它，它哪能不全然枯乾呢？它必定在它寄生的苗床上枯乾掉的。』

約瑟是母牛的崽子，在水泉旁的母牛崽子；他的女兒踏步在書珥曠野。

那時必有話對這人民和耶路撒冷說：在曠野無草木的高處上有一陣熱風向我子民颳來，不是為了簸揚，也不是為了揚淨，

他給老二起名叫以法蓮，因為他說：『上帝使我在受苦難之地果實昌盛。』

以法蓮呢——他們的榮耀必像鳥兒飛去：沒有生產、沒有懷胎、沒有成孕。

風把他們裹在翅膀裏帶去；他們必因他們的祭壇而慚愧。

願他的後人被剪滅；願他的名字第二代就被塗抹。

你們要豫備屠殺他的子孫，因為他們的父有罪孽，免得他們興起來，擁有轄地，而佈滿了世界上。』

我必將這城的一切資財、一切勞碌得來的、它的一切珍寶、和猶大列王的一切寶物、都交在他們仇敵手中；仇敵必將這一切當作掠物，帶到巴比倫去。

他父親不肯，說：『我知道，我兒，我知道；他也必成為一個民族；而且也必昌大。雖然如此，他的小弟弟卻要比他還昌大；他的後裔必成為許多國家。』

下邊他的根頭枯乾；上邊他的枝條被割下

他頭胎的公牛——威嚴屬於牠；牠的角是野牛的角，用來牴觸萬族之民，對地極也一概牴觸；這角是以法蓮的萬軍，那角是瑪拿西的千軍。』

『搶銀子！搶金子！』儲備的無窮盡，各樣寶器很豐富啊！

外國之民怒號着，就像大水之怒號。但上帝叱責他們，他們就遠遠地逃跑，又被追趕、如同山上的風前糠，又如暴風前的滾轉草。

惡人卻不是這樣：惡人乃像糠粃、給風吹散而飄蕩。

因此永恆主這麼說：『看吧，我必為你的案件而伸訴，為你報復；我必使巴比倫的海枯竭，使她水源乾涸。

你必簸揚它們，風必帶走，旋風必颳散；但你卻要以永恆主為喜樂，以以色列之聖者為誇耀。

以色列是茂盛的葡萄樹、能結果子的；他的果子越多，他的祭壇就越增多；他的地土越肥美，他就越使崇拜柱子美麗。

連他們的神像、同鑄像、同寶器、不拘是銀的、是金的、都擄掠到埃及去；於是他幾年以內也站着不動、不去攻擊北方之王。
