Ephraim’s guilt is piling up. I am keeping a record of all their sins.

以法蓮之愆尤緘封、其罪惡蓋藏、

The guilt of Ephraim is stored up, his sins are kept on record.

The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is kept in store.

The Lord says,“ I have kept all those terrible things stored away. I have kept them sealed up in my strongbox.I punish people. I will pay them back. The time will come when their feet will slip. Their day of trouble is near. Very soon they will be destroyed.”

The wrong things I’ve done will be sealed up in a bag. You will wipe out my sins by forgiving them.

But you are stubborn. In your heart you are not sorry for your sins. You are storing up anger against yourself. The day of God’s anger is coming. Then his way of judging fairly will be shown.

People say,‘ God stores up the punishment of evil people for their children.’ But let God punish the evil people themselves. Then they’ll learn a lesson from it.
