Where is your king now, that he may save you in all your cities? And your judges, of whom you said,‘ Give me a king and princes?’

你曾求我说：‘给我立王和首领。’现在你的王在哪里呢？治理你的在哪里呢？让他在你所有的城中拯救你吧！

昔爾求我、欲得王公、護爾城邑、今爾王安在、士師安在、

昔爾求我云、願為我設立王公、或作昔爾求我云願為我設王為我立侯伯今爾王安在、治理爾者安在、何不在爾諸邑救護爾、

Where is your king, that he may save you? Where are your rulers in all your towns, of whom you said,‘ Give me a king and princes’?

Where is your king? Wasn’t he supposed to save you? Where are the rulers in all your towns? You said,‘ Give us a king and princes.’

Where now is your king, to save you in all your cities? Where are all your rulers— those of whom you said,“ Give me a king and princes”?

Now where is your king? Let him save you! Where are all the leaders of the land, the king and the officials you demanded of me?

Where now is your king, that he may save you in all your cities, and the rulers you demanded, saying,“ Give me a king and leaders”?

Where then is your king, That he might save you in all your cities; And your judges, to whom you said,“ Give me a king and princes”?

They have set up kings, but not by me. They have made princes, and I didn’t approve. Of their silver and their gold they have made themselves idols, that they may be cut off.

They said to him,“ Behold, you are old, and your sons don’t walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.”But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said,“ Give us a king to judge us.” Samuel prayed to Yahweh.

Surely now they will say,“ We have no king; for we don’t fear Yahweh; and the king, what can he do for us?”

When all Israel heard that Jeroboam had returned, they sent and called him to the congregation, and made him king over all Israel. There was no one who followed David’s house, except for the tribe of Judah only.

The king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea; for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and offered no tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year. Therefore the king of Assyria seized him, and bound him in prison.

Yahweh raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them.Yet they didn’t listen to their judges; for they prostituted themselves to other gods, and bowed themselves down to them. They quickly turned away from the way in which their fathers walked, obeying Yahweh’s commandments. They didn’t do so.When Yahweh raised up judges for them, then Yahweh was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved Yahweh because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.

For Yahweh is our judge. Yahweh is our lawgiver. Yahweh is our king. He will save us.

Let Israel rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

I am Yahweh, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.”

“ But where are your gods that you have made for yourselves? Let them arise, if they can save you in the time of your trouble; for you have as many gods as you have towns, O Judah.

Nathanael answered him,“ Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are King of Israel!”

Yahweh sent Jerubbaal, Bedan, Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies on every side; and you lived in safety.“ When you saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, you said to me,‘ No, but a king shall reign over us;’ when Yahweh your God was your king.

He will say,“ Where are their gods, the rock in which they took refuge;which ate the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you! Let them be your protection.“ See now that I myself am he. There is no god with me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand.

Sing praises to God! Sing praises! Sing praises to our King! Sing praises!For God is the King of all the earth. Sing praises with understanding.

For our shield belongs to Yahweh, our king to the Holy One of Israel.

Yahweh will be King over all the earth. In that day Yahweh will be one, and his name one.

But the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel; and they said,“ No; but we will have a king over us,that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.”

You are my King, God. Command victories for Jacob!

Behold, the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people from a land that is very far off:“ Isn’t Yahweh in Zion? Isn’t her King in her?”“ Why have they provoked me to anger with their engraved images, and with foreign idols?”

Yet God is my King of old, working salvation throughout the earth.

Yahweh is King forever and ever! The nations will perish out of his land.

“ Yet I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall acknowledge no god but me, and besides me there is no savior.
