The prophet Moses brought Israel up from Egypt. The Lord used him to take care of them.

By a prophet the Lord brought Israel up from Egypt, and by a prophet he was guarded.

Then by a prophet the Lord brought Jacob’s descendants out of Egypt; and by that prophet they were protected.

The LORD brought Israel from Egypt by a prophet, and Israel was tended by a prophet.

But by a prophet the Lord brought Israel up from Egypt, And by a prophet he was protected.

For Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from their people.’

All the Israelites did just what the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron.And on that very day the Lord brought the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions.

Then his people recalled the days of old, the days of Moses and his people— where is he who brought them through the sea, with the shepherd of his flock? Where is he who set his Holy Spirit among them,who sent his glorious arm of power to be at Moses’ right hand, who divided the waters before them, to gain for himself everlasting renown,who led them through the depths? Like a horse in open country, they did not stumble;like cattle that go down to the plain, they were given rest by the Spirit of the Lord. This is how you guided your people to make for yourself a glorious name.

You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

“ I also raised up prophets from among your children and Nazirites from among your youths. Is this not true, people of Israel?” declares the Lord.“ But you made the Nazirites drink wine and commanded the prophets not to prophesy.

“ This is the same Moses they had rejected with the words,‘ Who made you ruler and judge?’ He was sent to be their ruler and deliverer by God himself, through the angel who appeared to him in the bush.He led them out of Egypt and performed wonders and signs in Egypt, at the Red Sea and for forty years in the wilderness.“ This is the Moses who told the Israelites,‘ God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your own people.’

Then Moses said to the people,“ Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, because the Lord brought you out of it with a mighty hand. Eat nothing containing yeast.

I brought you up out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. I sent Moses to lead you, also Aaron and Miriam.

“ But I have been the Lord your God ever since you came out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Savior except me.I cared for you in the wilderness, in the land of burning heat.

“ After Jacob entered Egypt, they cried to the Lord for help, and the Lord sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your ancestors out of Egypt and settled them in this place.
