爾曹遇此、皆伯特利所使、皆因爾之大惡、以色列王必朝時殞亡、

So will it happen to you, Bethel, because your wickedness is great. When that day dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.

People of Bethel, that will happen to you. You have committed far too many sins. When the time comes for me to punish you, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.”

今益其詞曰、三年之內、若傭之定期、摩押人之榮、將變為辱、實繁有徒、所存無幾、遺民荏弱。

以撒之崇坵必傾圮、以色列之聖所必荒蕪、我將以刃擊耶羅破暗家。伯特利之祭司亞馬謝、遣人至以色列王耶羅破暗曰、亞麼士在以色列族中謀叛、播散流言、國將不堪、蓋亞麼士常言耶羅破暗必死於刃、以色列族必遷於他方、亞馬謝告亞麼士曰、先見者與、宜循於猶大、在彼可得餬口、宣播言詞、毋在伯特利播言、此處王之聖所、宮闕在焉。亞麼士曰、我非先知、亦非先知之子、我乃牧牛羊、摘桑葚者、我守群畜、耶和華選我、告我曰、當播言於我民、以色列族中、今耶和華有言、爾其聽哉、我宣訓言、告誡以色列族、以撒家、而爾禁止、故耶和華曰、爾妻將為妓於城中、爾之子女、蹈刃而亡、爾之田畝、以繩量度、分於眾人、爾身必死於污俗、以色列族亦被遷於遠方。
