爾在伯特利、多行不義、主必使爾敗北、以色列王忽致殞亡。

爾曹遇此、皆伯特利所使、皆因爾之大惡、以色列王必朝時殞亡、

So will it happen to you, Bethel, because your wickedness is great. When that day dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.

People of Bethel, that will happen to you. You have committed far too many sins. When the time comes for me to punish you, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.”

Thus it shall be done to you, O Bethel, because of your great evil. At dawn the king of Israel shall be utterly cut off.

You will share that fate, Bethel, because of your great wickedness. When the day of judgment dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.

那么，那善的是叫我死吗？绝对不是！叫我死的是罪。罪藉着那善的叫我死，为要显出这真是罪，以致罪藉着诫命更显出是恶极了。

但现在，耶和华说：“三年之内，按照雇工年数的算法，摩押的荣华必变为羞辱，人口虽曾众多，剩余的又少又弱。”

以撒的丘坛必荒凉，以色列的圣所必荒废；我要起来用刀攻击耶罗波安的家。”伯特利的祭司亚玛谢派人到以色列王耶罗波安那里，说：“阿摩司在以色列家中图谋背叛你，他所说的一切话，这地不能承担；因为阿摩司这样说：‘耶罗波安必被刀杀，以色列百姓必被掳，离开本地。’”于是亚玛谢对阿摩司说：“你这先见哪，要逃到犹大地，在那里过活，在那里说预言；却不要在伯特利再说预言，因为这里有王的圣所，有王的宫殿。”阿摩司对亚玛谢说：“我原不是先知，也不是先知的门徒；我是牧人，是修剪桑树的。耶和华带领我，叫我不再牧放羊群，对我说：‘你去向我子民以色列说预言。’“现在你要听耶和华的话。你说：‘不要向以色列说预言，也不要向以撒家传讲。’所以耶和华如此说：‘你的妻子要在城中作妓女，你的儿女要倒在刀下；你的地必有人用绳子量了瓜分，你自己必死在不洁净之地；以色列百姓必被掳，离开本地。’”
