So will it happen to you, Bethel, because your wickedness is great. When that day dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.

People of Bethel, that will happen to you. You have committed far too many sins. When the time comes for me to punish you, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.”

Thus it shall be done to you, O Bethel, because of your great evil. At dawn the king of Israel shall be utterly cut off.

那麼善是在我身上生出死來麼？斷乎不是。不，是罪，罪為要顯明它是罪，便藉着善在我身上造出死來，叫罪藉着誡命顯出它是有罪到極點的。

但現在永恆主又宣佈說：『三年之內，照雇工年數的算法、摩押的威榮、連同他所有的民眾，都必被侮辱，其餘民必稀少、寥寥無幾。』

以撒的邱壇必然淒涼，以色列的聖所必荒廢；我必起來，用刀攻擊耶羅波安的家。』伯特利的祭司亞瑪謝打發人去見以色列王耶羅波安說：『阿摩司在以色列家中圖謀背叛了你；他所說的一切話、這國擔當不起。因為阿摩司這麼說：「耶羅波安必死於刀下，以色列民一定流亡、離開本地。」』亞瑪謝又對阿摩司說：『見異象的人哪、走吧，逃往猶大地去吧！在那裏找口飯喫，在那裏傳神言吧！在伯特利嘛，可別再傳神言了；因為這裏有王的聖所，這裏有王國的宮殿。』阿摩司回答亞瑪謝說：『我不是神言人，也不是神言人的弟子；我乃是牧夫，又是整理無花果桑樹的；永恆主選取了我、使我不趕羊；永恆主對我說：「你去向我人民以色列傳神言。」『如今呢、你要聽永恆主的話。你說：「不可傳神言攻擊以色列，不可發神言攻擊以撒家。」故此永恆主這麼說：「你的妻子必在城中做妓女，你的兒女必倒斃於刀下，你的土地必被測量繩所瓜分；你自己呢、必在不潔淨之地死掉，以色列民一定流亡、離開本地。」』
