爾曹遇此、乃伯特利所使、以爾罪重故也、以色列王、必於昧爽隕沒、

爾在伯特利、多行不義、主必使爾敗北、以色列王忽致殞亡。

爾曹遇此、皆伯特利所使、皆因爾之大惡、以色列王必朝時殞亡、

So will it happen to you, Bethel, because your wickedness is great. When that day dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.

People of Bethel, that will happen to you. You have committed far too many sins. When the time comes for me to punish you, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.”

Thus it shall be done to you, O Bethel, because of your great evil. At dawn the king of Israel shall be utterly cut off.

You will share that fate, Bethel, because of your great wickedness. When the day of judgment dawns, the king of Israel will be completely destroyed.

撒玛利亚的居民必因伯．亚文的牛犊而惧怕；拜牛犊的人民必为它哀恸。拜牛犊的祭司必为它哀号，都因它的荣耀离开它而被掳去了。

至于撒玛利亚，她与她的君王必被剪除；好像浮在水面的枯枝一般。

那时他们必说：“我们没有君王，因为我们不敬畏耶和华。至于君王，他能为我们作什么呢？”

既是这样，那良善的反而使我死吗？绝对不是！但罪藉着那良善的使我死，就显出真是罪，为了要使罪藉着诫命变成更加邪恶。

但现在耶和华宣告说：“三年之内，按照雇工的年数，摩押的荣耀和他所有的群众，都必被藐视；余下的人必稀少，微不足道。”

以撒的各邱坛必荒废，以色列所有的圣所必废弃；我必起来用刀击杀耶罗波安家。”伯特利的祭司亚玛谢派人向以色列王耶罗波安报告：“阿摩司在以色列家中图谋背叛你，这国家不能容忍他说的话；因为阿摩司这样说：‘耶罗波安必死在刀下，以色列必被掳，离开本国。’”亚玛谢对阿摩司说：“你这个先见，走吧！滚回犹大地去；在那里你可以找食，在那里你可以说预言。但不要再在伯特利说预言，因为这里是王的圣所，是王国的圣殿。”阿摩司回答亚玛谢说：“我原不是先知，也不是先知的门徒；我本是牧人，是修理桑树的，但耶和华选召我，叫我不再跟随羊群；他对我说：‘你去，向我民以色列说预言。’现在你要听耶和华的话；因为你说：‘不要说预言攻击以色列，不要说攻击以撒家的话。’所以，耶和华这样说：‘你妻子必在城中作妓女，你的儿女必倒在刀下；你的土地必被人量度瓜分，你自己必死在不洁之地；以色列必被掳，离开本国。’”
