因為他們在各高岡上，各青翠樹下築丘壇，立柱像和亞舍拉。

他們立君王，並非出於我；立官長，我卻不知道。他們用金銀為自己製造偶像，以致被剪除。

所以，從今以後，我們不再按照人的看法來認識人，縱使我們曾經按照人的看法認識基督，如今卻不再這樣認識他了。

其他的人都求自己的事，並不求耶穌基督的事。

他們得到餵養，就飽足；既得飽足，就心高氣傲，因而忘記了我。

她不知道是我給她五穀、新酒和新的油，又加添她的金銀；他們卻用來供奉巴力。

以法蓮說：我果然富有，得了財寶；我所勞碌得來的一切，人必找不到我有甚麼可算為有罪的惡

如今他們罪上加罪，為自己鑄造偶像，憑自己的聰明用銀子造偶像，全都是匠人所製的。論到它，有話說：獻祭的人都要親吻牛犢。

「我就是真葡萄樹，我父是栽培的人。凡屬我不結果子的枝子，他就剪掉；凡結果子的，他就修剪乾淨，使枝子結果子更多。現在你們因我講給你們的道已經潔淨了。你們要常在我裏面，我也常在你們裏面。枝子若不常在葡萄樹上，自己就不能結果子；你們若不常在我裏面，也是這樣。我就是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。常在我裏面的，我也常在他裏面，這人就多結果子，因為離了我，你們就不能做甚麼。人若不常在我裏面，就像枝子被丟在外面，枯乾了，人撿起來，扔進火裏燒了。

耶和華復興雅各的榮華，像復興以色列的榮華；因為蹂躪者曾經蹂躪他們，毀壞了他們的葡萄枝。
