你為自己所做的神在哪裡？你遭遇患難時，如果他們能救你，就讓他們起來吧！猶大啊！你的城有多少，你的神也有多少！

“你們不可為自己做偶像，不可為自己立雕像或神柱，也不可在你們的境內安置石像，向它跪拜；因為我是耶和華你們的神。

耶和華的話臨到我說：“人子啊！葡萄樹的木料怎能勝過樹林中的枝子呢？人可以從葡萄樹上取木料製造物件嗎？可以從葡萄樹上取木料做釘子掛器皿嗎？看哪！已經拋在火裡當作燃料，火既燒毀了兩端，連中間也燒焦了，它還可以用來製造物件嗎？看哪！它完整的時候，尚且不能用來製造物件，何況它被火燒毀和燒焦了，它還能用來做甚麼呢？”

他們又為自己在各高岡上，各茂盛樹下建造邱壇、神柱和亞舍拉。

“他們立了君王，卻不是出於我；他們立了首領，我卻不知道。他們用自己的金銀為自己做了偶像，以致他們被剪除。

所以，從今以後，我們不再按照人的看法認識人；雖然我們曾經按照人的看法認識基督，但現在不再這樣了。

因為大家只顧自己的事，而不理耶穌基督的事。

但他們得了餵養而飽足，飽足以後，就心高氣傲，因此忘記了我。

其實她不知道，是我把五穀、新酒、橄欖油賜給了她；甚至他們用來製造巴力的金銀，也是我大量給她的；

以法蓮說：“我成了富翁，我為自己發了財；在我所有的收益中，人不能找出我有甚麼罪孽，可算為罪惡的。”

現在他們犯罪越來越多，為自己做鑄像，按著自己的技巧，用自己的銀子做偶像；這些都是匠人的手工。他們論到這些說：“向偶像獻祭的人，可以親吻牛犢。”

“我是真葡萄樹，我父是培植的人。所有屬我而不結果子的枝子，他就剪去；所有結果子的，他就修剪乾淨，讓它結更多的果子。現在你們因著我對你們所講的道，已經乾淨了。你們要住在我裡面，我也就住在你們裡面。枝子若不連在葡萄樹上，自己就不能結果子；你們若不住在我裡面，也是這樣。我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。住在我裡面的，我也住在他裡面，他就結出很多果子；因為離開了我，你們就不能作甚麼。人若不住在我裡面，就像枝子丟在外面枯乾了，人把它們拾起來，丟在火裡燒掉了。

然而，耶和華必恢復雅各的光榮，好像以色列的光榮一樣；因為劫掠的人曾把他們劫掠一空，又把他們的葡萄枝子毀壞了。

我們沒有一個人為自己活，也沒有一個人為自己死。我們若活著，是為主而活；我們若死了，是為主而死。所以，我們無論活著或是死了，總是屬於主的人。

“你要告訴這地的人民和祭司說：‘這七十年來，你們在五月和七月禁食哀哭，豈是真的為我禁食呢？你們吃，你們喝，豈不是為你們自己吃，為你們自己喝嗎？
