which had the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.

It had the golden altar for incense. It also had the wooden chest called the ark of the covenant. The ark was covered with gold. It held the gold jar of manna. It held Aaron’s walking stick that had budded. It also held the stone tablets. The words of the covenant were written on them.

But the Lord said to Moses,“ Put the staff of Aaron back in front of the testimony to be kept as a sign against the rebels, so that you may put an end to their grumblings against Me and they do not die.”

You shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and bring in the ark of the testimony there within the veil; and the veil shall serve as a partition for you between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place.

You shall place the ark of the testimony there, and you shall screen off the ark with the veil.

Then he took the testimony and put it into the ark, and attached the poles to the ark, and put the atoning cover on top of the ark.He then brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up a veil for the covering, and screened off the ark of the testimony, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets which Moses put there at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the sons of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

He shall take a firepan full of coals of fire from upon the altar before the Lord and two handfuls of finely ground sweet incense, and bring it inside the veil.

And it will come about that the staff of the man whom I choose will sprout. So I will relieve Myself of the grumblings of the sons of Israel, who are grumbling against you.”

And there I have set a place for the ark, in which is the covenant of the Lord, which He made with our fathers when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.”

Now on the next day Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and behold, Aaron’s staff for the house of Levi had sprouted and produced buds and bloomed with blossoms, and it yielded ripe almonds.

There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the sons of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

Then I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you smashed to pieces, and you shall put them in the ark.’So I made an ark of acacia wood and cut out two tablets of stone like the first two, and I went up on the mountain with the two tablets in my hand.Then He wrote on the tablets, like the first writing, the Ten Commandments which the Lord had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly; and the Lord gave them to me.Then I turned and came down from the mountain, and I put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and they are there, just as the Lord commanded me.”

also the cups, the shears, the bowls, the ladles, and the firepans, of pure gold; and the hinges both for the doors of the inner house, the Most Holy Place, and for the doors of the house, that is, for the main room, of gold.

And it came about, when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai( and the two tablets of the testimony were in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him.

Then Moses said,“ This is what the Lord has commanded:‘ A full omer of it is to be kept safe throughout your generations, so that they may see the bread that I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’ ”And Moses said to Aaron,“ Take a jar and put a full omer of manna in it, and place it before the Lord to be kept safe throughout your generations.”As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron placed it before the Testimony, to be kept.

“ Now they shall construct an ark of acacia wood two and a half cubits long, one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.You shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and you shall make a gold molding around it.You shall also cast four gold rings for it and fasten them on its four feet; two rings shall be on one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.And you shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark with them.The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it.You shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.“ And you shall make an atoning cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.You shall make two cherubim of gold; make them of hammered work at the two ends of the atoning cover.Make one cherub at one end and one cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece with the atoning cover at its two ends.And the cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the atoning cover with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the atoning cover.Then you shall put the atoning cover on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you.There I will meet with you; and from above the atoning cover, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about every commandment that I will give you for the sons of Israel.

Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne.

Now Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; its length was two and a half cubits, its width one and a half cubits, and its height one and a half cubits;and he overlaid it with pure gold inside and out, and made a gold molding for it all around.He cast four rings of gold for it on its four feet; two rings on one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.And he made poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry it.

The Lord will stretch out Your strong scepter from Zion, saying,“ Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”Your people will volunteer freely on the day of Your power; In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.

“ Now you shall make an altar as a place for burning incense; you shall make it of acacia wood.Its length shall be a cubit, and its width a cubit; it shall be square, and its height shall be two cubits; its horns shall be of one piece with it.You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top and its sides all around, and its horns; and you shall make a gold molding all around for it.You shall also make two gold rings for it under its molding; you shall make them on its two sides— on opposite sides— and they shall be holders for poles with which to carry it.And you shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
