必當有一個潔淨的人拿牛膝草蘸在這水中，把水灑在帳棚上，和一切器皿並帳棚內的眾人身上，又灑在摸了骨頭，或摸了被殺的，或摸了自死的，或摸了墳墓的那人身上。

祭司要把香柏木、牛膝草、朱紅色線都丟在燒牛的火中。

並且不用山羊和牛犢的血，乃用自己的血，只一次進入聖所，成了永遠贖罪的事。

就是照父神的先見被揀選，藉着聖靈得成聖潔，以致順服耶穌基督，又蒙他血所灑的人。願恩惠、平安多多地加給你們。

又打發以色列人中的少年人去獻燔祭，又向耶和華獻牛為平安祭。摩西將血一半盛在盆中，一半灑在壇上；又將約書念給百姓聽。他們說：「耶和華所吩咐的，我們都必遵行。」摩西將血灑在百姓身上，說：「你看！這是立約的血，是耶和華按這一切話與你們立約的憑據。」摩西、亞倫、拿答、亞比戶，並以色列長老中的七十人，都上了山。他們看見以色列的神，他腳下彷彿有平鋪的藍寶石，如同天色明淨。他的手不加害在以色列的尊者身上。他們觀看神；他們又吃又喝。

也要取些公牛的血，用指頭彈在施恩座的東面，又在施恩座的前面彈血七次。「隨後他要宰那為百姓作贖罪祭的公山羊，把羊的血帶入幔子內，彈在施恩座的上面和前面，好像彈公牛的血一樣。他因以色列人諸般的污穢、過犯，就是他們一切的罪愆，當這樣在聖所行贖罪之禮，並因會幕在他們污穢之中，也要照樣而行。他進聖所贖罪的時候，會幕裏不可有人，直等到他為自己和本家並以色列全會眾贖了罪出來。他出來，要到耶和華面前的壇那裏，在壇上行贖罪之禮，又要取些公牛的血和公山羊的血，抹在壇上四角的周圍；

就要吩咐人為那求潔淨的拿兩隻潔淨的活鳥和香柏木、朱紅色線，並牛膝草來。祭司要吩咐用瓦器盛活水，把一隻鳥宰在上面。至於那隻活鳥，祭司要把牠和香柏木、朱紅色線並牛膝草一同蘸於宰在活水上的鳥血中，用以在那長大痲瘋求潔淨的人身上灑七次，就定他為潔淨，又把活鳥放在田野裏。

要為潔淨房子取兩隻鳥和香柏木、朱紅色線並牛膝草，用瓦器盛活水，把一隻鳥宰在上面，把香柏木、牛膝草、朱紅色線，並那活鳥，都蘸在被宰的鳥血中與活水中，用以灑房子七次。要用鳥血、活水、活鳥、香柏木、牛膝草，並朱紅色線，潔淨那房子。

「人向耶和華獻供物為平安祭，若是從羊羣中獻，無論是公的是母的，必用沒有殘疾的。

並新約的中保耶穌，以及所灑的血；這血所說的比亞伯的血所說的更美。

「你曉諭以色列人說：你們中間若有人獻供物給耶和華，要從牛羣羊羣中獻牲畜為供物。「他的供物若以牛為燔祭，就要在會幕門口獻一隻沒有殘疾的公牛，可以在耶和華面前蒙悅納。

我必用清水灑在你們身上，你們就潔淨了。我要潔淨你們，使你們脫離一切的污穢，棄掉一切的偶像。

他們給他脫了衣服，穿上一件朱紅色袍子，

「人的供物若以綿羊或山羊為燔祭，就要獻上沒有殘疾的公羊。

他們給他穿上紫袍，又用荊棘編做冠冕給他戴上，

兵丁用荊棘編做冠冕戴在他頭上，給他穿上紫袍，

因為公牛和山羊的血，斷不能除罪。

拿一把牛膝草，蘸盆裏的血，打在門楣上和左右的門框上。你們誰也不可出自己的房門，直到早晨。

戲弄完了，就給他脫了紫袍，仍穿上他自己的衣服，帶他出去，要釘十字架。

這樣，他必洗淨許多國民；君王要向他閉口。因所未曾傳與他們的，他們必看見；未曾聽見的，他們要明白。

耶穌出來，戴着荊棘冠冕，穿着紫袍。彼拉多對他們說：「你們看這個人！」

求你用牛膝草潔淨我，我就乾淨；求你洗滌我，我就比雪更白。
