你們蒙揀選是按照父上帝預先定好的旨意，藉著聖靈得以聖潔，好順服耶穌基督，並靠祂的血得到潔淨。願上帝賜給你們豐豐富富的恩典和平安！

他又吩咐以色列的青年去給耶和華獻燔祭，又獻上公牛作平安祭。摩西把祭牲的血一半放在盆裡，一半灑在壇上。他又把約書念給百姓聽，百姓聽了都說：「我們願意遵行耶和華的一切吩咐，我們願意順服。」摩西便把盆中的血灑在百姓身上，說：「這是立約的血，是耶和華按所說的話與你們立約的憑據。」之後，摩西、亞倫、拿答、亞比戶及七十位長老便上了山。他們都看見了以色列的上帝，祂的腳下好像是一片藍寶石，像天一樣明淨。上帝沒有伸手殺這些以色列的首領，允許他們看見祂，在祂面前吃喝。

他要取一些牛血，用手指彈灑在施恩座的東面，也要在施恩座前用手指彈灑七次。然後，亞倫要出去宰殺那隻為民眾作贖罪祭的公山羊，把羊血帶進幔子裡，像灑牛血一樣灑在施恩座的上面和前面。因以色列人的污穢、叛逆和罪惡，他要這樣為至聖所贖罪。他也要同樣為會幕贖罪，因為會幕座落在以色列人中間，處在他們的污穢中。從他進入聖所為自己全家和以色列全體會眾贖罪開始，直到他贖完罪出來為止，任何人都不可待在會幕裡。之後，他要來到耶和華面前的祭壇那裡，為祭壇贖罪。他要取一些牛血和羊血，抹在祭壇的四角上，

要吩咐人為他拿來兩隻潔淨的鳥、香柏木、朱紅色線和牛膝草。祭司要吩咐人在一個盛清水的陶器上宰殺一隻鳥，然後祭司要把另一隻鳥，連同香柏木、朱紅色線和牛膝草一起蘸在摻了清水的鳥血裡。祭司要用鳥血在他身上灑七次，宣佈他是潔淨的，然後放走那隻活鳥，讓牠飛向田野。

為潔淨房子，祭司要取兩隻鳥、香柏木、朱紅色線和牛膝草，在一個盛清水的陶器上宰殺一隻鳥，然後用香柏木、牛膝草、朱紅色線和另一隻活鳥蘸摻了清水的鳥血，向房子灑七次。祭司用鳥血、清水、活鳥、香柏木、牛膝草和朱紅色線潔淨那房子後，

「如果用羊作祭物向耶和華獻平安祭，必須獻毫無殘疾的公羊或母羊。

還有新約的中保耶穌和祂所流的血。這血比亞伯的血發出更美的信息。

「你把以下條例告訴以色列人。「如果你們有人獻祭給耶和華，要用牛羊作祭物。如果用牛作燔祭，必須用毫無殘疾的公牛，在會幕門口獻上，便可蒙耶和華悅納。

我要在你們身上灑清水潔淨你們，洗淨你們所有的污穢，除掉你們心中一切的偶像。

他們剝下耶穌的衣服，替祂披上一件朱紅色的長袍，

「如果用綿羊或山羊作燔祭，必須用毫無殘疾的公羊。

他們給祂穿上紫袍，用荊棘編成王冠戴在祂頭上，

士兵用荊棘編成冠冕戴在祂頭上，又拿紫袍給祂穿上，

因為公牛和山羊的血根本不能除去人的罪。

拿一把牛膝草蘸盆裡的血，把血塗在門框和門楣上。天亮前，你們不可踏出門外。

戲弄完了，就脫去祂的紫袍，給祂穿上原來的衣服，押祂出去釘十字架。

祂必洗淨許多國家，君王必因祂而閉口無言。因為他們將看見未曾聽過的事，明白聞所未聞的事。

於是，耶穌戴著荊棘冠冕、穿著紫色長袍出來。彼拉多對眾人說：「你們看這個人！」

求你用牛膝草潔淨我的罪，使我乾淨；求你洗淨我，使我比雪更白。
