You must not do as they do in the land of Egypt where you have been living, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan into which I am about to bring you; you must not walk in their statutes.You must observe my regulations and you must be sure to walk in my statutes. I am the LORD your God.

Be careful not to allow anyone to captivate you through an empty, deceitful philosophy that is according to human traditions and the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

They were both righteous in the sight of God, following all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blamelessly.

When he speaks of a new covenant, he makes the first obsolete. Now what is growing obsolete and aging is about to disappear.
