It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord.

这些都是有寓意的。就是说，这两个女人是两个约。一个出于西奈山，生子为奴，她就是夏甲。

扫罗从地上爬起来，睁开眼睛，却什么也看不见。他们牵着他的手，把他带进大马士革。

那时，他想起古时的日子，就是摩西和他子民的日子：那把他们和他群羊的牧人们从海里带上来的，在哪里呢？那把他的圣灵降在他们当中的，在哪里呢？那让自己荣耀的膀臂在摩西右边作工，在他们面前把水分开，为自己成就永远之名的，在哪里呢？那领他们走过深渊的，在哪里呢？他们像旷野中的马没有绊跌；

他们没有遵守神的约，不肯按照他的律法而行。他们忘掉了他所行的，以及他显明给他们的奇妙作为。

弟兄们，我按人的意思说话：甚至是人的约，一旦证实了，也没有人能废弃或加添。神的各样应许，原是对亚伯拉罕和他的一个后裔说的。神并没有说“后裔们”，像是指着许多人；而是说“你的一个后裔”，像是指着一个人，这一位就是基督。我说的这话是：四百三十年以后出现的律法，不能废弃神预先立好的约，使那应许无效。如果继业是本于律法，就不再是本于应许了；但是神把继业赐给亚伯拉罕是藉着应许。那么，为什么要有律法呢？律法是为了过犯的缘故被加上的，直到那蒙应许的后裔来临；律法是藉着天使，通过中保的手所规定的。

你所生的众子中，没有一个人带领你；你养大的众子中，没有一个人紧拉着你的手。

他们退缩、背信，如同他们的祖先；他们扭曲，如同松弛的弓。

他必像牧人牧养自己的羊群，把羊羔聚集在他的膀臂下，把它们抱在自己的怀中，又温柔地引领哺乳的母羊。

他领出自己的子民如同领出羊群，在旷野引领他们如同引领畜群。他引导他们安然行进，使他们不惧怕；海水却淹没了他们的仇敌。他带他们来到他圣地的边界，到他右手所得的那座山。

他使自己的子民欢乐地出来，使自己的选民欢呼而出。

大地被其上的居民玷污，因为他们违背律法，违犯律例，破坏永远的约。因此诅咒吞噬大地，其上的居民必承担罪责；因此地上的居民被焚烧，只有少数人残留下来。

因为我耶和华你的神，紧拉着你的右手，对你说：“不要害怕，我必帮助你！”

耶稣牵着瞎眼之人的手，领他到村子外面，吐唾沫在他的眼睛上，按手在他身上，问他：“你是否看见什么？”

你藉着摩西和亚伦的手，引导你的子民如同引导羊群。

看哪，现在主的手临到你，你要瞎眼，暂时看不见日光。”立刻，迷雾和黑暗笼罩了他，他四处摸索，求人牵手领路。

原来不用血，第一个约也不能成立，就是说，摩西按照律法向全体民众宣讲了所有的诫命之后，拿了牛犊和山羊的血，掺上水，用深红色的羊毛和牛膝草，洒在那书卷上和全体民众身上，说：“这是立约的血，是神吩咐给你们的。”

你们又行了另一件事：用眼泪、哭泣和呻吟遮盖耶和华的祭坛；因为耶和华不再垂顾你们的供物，也不从你们手中悦纳它们。
