顧天主嘗責先人曰：『主曰：「時將至、爾其拭目視！吾與義塞及猶太、亟欲訂立新盟約。

還有新約的中保耶穌和祂所流的血。這血比亞伯的血發出更美的信息。

祂使我們能夠擔任新約的執事。這新約不是用律法條文立的，而是聖靈的工作，因為律法條文帶給人死亡，但聖靈賜給人生命。

我要與他們立永遠的約，永遠恩待他們，使他們對我心存敬畏，不再背棄我。

「主說，那些日子以後，我將與他們立這樣的約，我要把我的律例放在他們心中，寫在他們腦中。我要忘記他們的過犯和罪惡。」

然而，我顧念在你幼年時與你所立的約，我要與你立一個永遠的約。你接納你姊妹的時候，會想起自己的所作所為並自覺羞愧。我要將你姊妹賜給你作女兒，我這樣做並不是出於我與你所立的約。

晚餐後，祂又照樣拿起杯來，說，「這杯是用我的血立的新約。你們每逢喝的時候，要這樣做，為的是紀念我。」

因此，祂是新約的中保，藉著死亡救贖了觸犯舊約的人，好叫那些蒙召的人得到所應許的永恆基業。

飯後，祂又舉起杯來，說：「這杯是用我的血立的新約，這血是為你們流的。

祂又對門徒說：「時候將到，你們將渴望見到人子降臨的日子，可是你們卻見不到。

耶穌說：「這是我為萬人所流的立約之血。

我要與他們訂立永存的平安之約，使他們安居，人丁興旺。我的聖所要永遠設立在他們當中。

這是我為萬人所流的立約之血，為了使罪得到赦免。

「你聽見了嗎？人們說，『耶和華已經棄絕了祂所揀選的以色列和猶大兩個國家。』他們藐視我的子民，視他們為亡國之民。然而，耶和華說，『正如我決不廢棄我所定的晝夜交替和天地運行之律，我也決不棄絕雅各的後裔，不棄絕我僕人大衛的後裔。我必讓大衛的後裔做王統治亞伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的子孫，因為我必使被擄的人回到故土，恩待他們。』」

耶和華說：「看啊，時候將到，我要使以色列和猶大人丁興旺，牲畜繁多。

耶和華說：「看啊，時候將到，我要為大衛選立一個公義的苗裔，使他執掌王權。他必秉公行義，治國有方。

耶和華說，『看啊，時候將到，我要使我被擄的子民——以色列人和猶大人回到故土，回到我賜給他們祖先的土地上。這是耶和華說的。』」

耶和華說：「看啊，時候將到，那時人不再憑把以色列人帶出埃及的耶和華起誓，

你們要到我這裡來，側耳聽我的話，就必得到生命。我要跟你們立永久的約，將應許給大衛的可靠恩福賜給你們。

耶和華說：「看啊，時候將到，從哈楠業樓直到角門，整個耶路撒冷城要重建起來歸給耶和華。
