By saying a new covenant, he has declared that the first is obsolete. And what is obsolete and growing old is about to pass away.

既说新约，就以前约为旧了；但那渐旧渐衰的，就必快归无有了。

既然上帝提到“新的约”，那么第一个约就成为旧的了；而那渐旧渐衰的必然很快消逝了。

既然神提到“新的约”，那么第一个约就成为旧的了；而那渐旧渐衰的必然很快消逝了。

上帝既然说要立新约，就是把以前的约当作旧的了，那渐渐过时、陈旧的东西很快就会消失。

当神说到“新约”，就已经把第一个当做旧的；而那渐渐变旧、渐渐变老的，很快就要消逝了。

約既曰新、則以前者為舊、夫舊而漸衰者、殆近於消滅矣、

既以此約為新、則以彼約為舊、凡舊而漸衰徵者、必不久自廢、

既言新約、則以前約為舊、凡舊而漸衰者、必速歸於無有、

夫既曰新約、則舊者之見廢明矣。蓋天下之事、陳舊而呈衰老之象者、其離死亡不遠矣。

By calling this covenant“ new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.

God called this covenant“ new.” So he has done away with the first one. And what is out of date and has been done away with will soon disappear.

In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

When God speaks of a“ new” covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear.

When He said,“ A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is about to disappear.

In that He says,“ A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. But that which is becoming old and waxeth aged is nigh unto vanishing away.

By saying, a new covenant, He has declared that the first is old. And what is old and aging is about to disappear.

In that he saith, A new[ covenant], he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old[ is] ready to vanish away.

When he speaks of a new covenant, he makes the first obsolete. Now what is growing obsolete and aging is about to disappear.

In that he says,“ A new covenant”, he has made the first old. But that which is becoming old and grows aged is near to vanishing away.

So the previous command is annulled because it was weak and unprofitable( for the law perfected nothing), but a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!

Therefore, he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance, because a death has taken place for redemption from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

Now if perfection came through the Levitical priesthood( for on the basis of it the people received the law), what further need was there for another priest to appear, said to be according to the order of Melchizedek and not according to the order of Aaron?For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must be a change of law as well.

This is a symbol for the present time, during which gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the worshiper’s conscience.They are physical regulations and only deal with food, drink, and various washings imposed until the time of the new order.

Look up to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and its inhabitants will die like gnats. But my salvation will last forever, and my righteousness will never be shattered.

Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
