祂正是上帝榮耀的光輝，是上帝本體的真像。祂用自己充滿能力的話語維繫萬物。祂洗淨了世人的罪之後，便坐在天上至高上帝的右邊。

你們既然和基督一同復活了，就應當追求天上的事，那裡有坐在上帝右邊的基督。

得勝者可以和我一同坐在我的寶座上，正如我得勝後與我父一同坐在祂的寶座上一樣。

所以祂必須在每一方面都與祂的弟兄姊妹相同，以便在事奉上帝的事上成為一位仁慈忠信的大祭司，替眾人獻上贖罪祭。

我們所需要的，正是這樣一位聖潔無瑕、良善純全、遠離罪惡、超越諸天的大祭司。祂無需像其他大祭司每天先為自己的罪獻祭，然後為百姓的罪獻祭，因為祂只一次獻上自己的生命，便永遠完成了贖罪的工作。根據律法所立的大祭司都有弱點，但律法之後憑誓言所立的大祭司——上帝的兒子永遠純全。

定睛仰望為我們的信心創始成終的耶穌。祂為了擺在前面的喜樂，就輕看羞辱，忍受了十字架的痛苦，如今已坐在上帝寶座的右邊。

而基督一次獻上自己成為永遠的贖罪祭後，就坐在上帝的右邊，

你的救助帶給他無限榮耀，你賜給他尊榮和威嚴。

耶和華啊，偉大、權能、榮耀、尊貴和威嚴都是你的，天上地下的一切都是你的。耶和華啊，國度是你的，你是萬有的主宰。

偉大的王啊，佩上你的寶劍，你是何等尊貴、威嚴！你威嚴無比，所向披靡，捍衛真理和正義，保護卑微的人。願你的右手彰顯可畏的作為！

劫後餘生的人必高聲歡呼，在西方讚美耶和華的威嚴。

好讓世人知道你大能的作為和你國度的威嚴與榮耀。

我的心啊，要稱頌耶和華。我的上帝耶和華啊，你是多麼偉大！你以尊貴和威嚴為衣，

耶和華對我主說：「你坐在我的右邊，等我使你的仇敵成為你的腳凳。」

我為傳福音成了披枷帶鎖的使者。請你們為我禱告，使我能盡忠職守，放膽傳福音。

祂要挺身而起，倚靠耶和華的能力，奉祂上帝耶和華的威名牧養祂的群羊。他們將安然居住，因為那時祂必受尊崇，直達地極。

北方出現金色的光芒，上帝充滿可怕的威嚴。

上帝從未對任何一個天使說：「你坐在我的右邊，等我使你的仇敵成為你的腳凳。」
