惟麥基洗德、非由利未出、而於亞伯拉罕所有者、什一取之、且亞伯拉罕素蒙上帝許、而麥基洗德為之祝嘏、

麥基洗德雖不屬利未之族、猶於亞伯拉罕之物、什取其一、且為蒙應許者祝福、

惟不與若輩同族之麥基德、乃受貢於亞伯漢、且為彼承有恩諾之身祝嘏焉。

This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

Melchizedek did not trace his family line from Levi. But he collected a tenth from Abraham. Melchizedek blessed the one who had received the promises.

But this man who does not have his descent from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

But Melchizedek, who was not a descendant of Levi, collected a tenth from Abraham. And Melchizedek placed a blessing upon Abraham, the one who had already received the promises of God.

For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seed that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.

As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be the father of a multitude of nations.Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for the father of a multitude of nations have I made thee.And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land of thy sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister; that it may be well with me for thy sake, and that my soul may live because of thee.

and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing:

And Jehovah said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art, northward and southward and eastward and westward:for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then may thy seed also be numbered.Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for unto thee will I give it.

that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

For when God made promise to Abraham, since he could swear by none greater, he sware by himself,saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.And thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

who are Israelites; whose is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

By faith Abraham, being tried, offered up Isaac: yea, he that had gladly received the promises was offering up his only begotten son;

Now to Abraham were the promises spoken, and to his seed. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
