夫利未子孫受祭司職者、亦奉命依律取什一於民、即出於亞伯拉罕膝下、為其兄弟者、

利未子孫之得祭司職者、雖與民皆為亞伯拉罕之裔、同為兄弟、仍奉律法之命、以民之物、什取其一、

利未子孫之任司祭者、依例什一以取於兄弟；其兄弟乃亞伯漢之後裔耳。

Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people— that is, from their fellow Israelites— even though they also are descended from Abraham.

Now the law lays down a rule for the sons of Levi who become priests. They must collect a tenth from the people. They must collect it from the other Israelites. They must do this, even though all of them belong to the family line of Abraham.

And those descendants of Levi who receive the priestly office have a commandment in the law to take tithes from the people, that is, from their brothers, though these also are descended from Abraham.

Now the law of Moses required that the priests, who are descendants of Levi, must collect a tithe from the rest of the people of Israel, who are also descendants of Abraham.

The sons of Levi who receive the priestly office have a command according to the law to collect a tenth from the people— that is, from their brothers and sisters— though they have also descended from Abraham.

And those indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have a commandment in the Law to collect a tenth from the people, that is, from their countrymen, although they are descended from Abraham.

And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brethren, though they have come from the loins of Abraham;

And they indeed of the sons of Levi that receive the priest’s office have commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though these have come out of the loins of Abraham:

The sons of Levi who receive the priestly office have a command according to the law to collect a tenth from the people— that is, from their brothers— though they have also descended from Abraham.

And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

And those of the sons of Levi who receive the priestly office have authorization according to the law to collect a tithe from the people, that is, from their fellow countrymen, although they too are descendants of Abraham.

They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham,

然爾不得建殿、惟爾一脈之裔、必建殿、以籲我名。

以色列族中、簡爾兄亞倫、以為祭司、爰及其子拿答、亞庇戶、以利亞撒、以大馬奉事於我、

蓋麥基洗德遇亞伯拉罕時、利未尚在祖身、

利未人應得之物、民未與焉、故利未人、謳歌者、不復供役於殿、歸耕畎畝。

此職人莫自任、必如亞倫、俟上帝之徵辟、

與在埃及之約瑟、屬于雅各者共七十人。

耶和華使爾利未族、進於其前、爾猶以為不足、乃更欲為祭司乎。為此、爾黨集攻耶和華、亞倫何人斯、爾曹奚為怨之。

又曰、我乃全能之上帝、使爾生育眾多、以成群族、列王皆由爾出。

爾及子孫、宜守祭司之職、壇前簾內、供其役事、蓋我畀爾為祭司、外人近前、必致死亡。○

命耶路撒冷民、以利未人祭司、所應得之物賜之、俾其盡心從耶和華律例。渙汗既頒、以色列族以始成之土產、或穀、或酒、或油、或蜜、為薦新之舉、復以所有什取一以獻、不可勝數。猶大民及旅其地之以色列族、各牽牛羊、什獻其一、所當供其上帝耶和華之聖物、亦十輸其一、積之成邱。

田之所產、樹之所結、什一奉我、俱歸我耶和華。所應輸之什一、人欲贖之、必加五分之一。牛羊為牧者計其數、必以什一歸我、或美或惡、毋庸察、亦毋庸易、如其易之、則所數與所易者、俱必獻我、不得復贖。

利未人於會幕中、供其役事、故我於以色列族之土產、什取其一、錫為恆業。自是以後。以色列族不可近會幕恐負罪愆、至於死亡。利未人在會幕、供其役事、如有干犯、必負罪愆、惟於以色列中、不得土壤為業、著為永例、歷世勿替。以色列人十輸其一、舉而獻我者、我必賜之為利未人嗣業、外此則無恆業。○耶和華諭摩西曰、告利未人云、我使以色列族、什一輸爾、以為爾業、爾既受之、必於其中復取什一、舉而獻我、爾所舉以獻者、自我視之、與禾場之穀、酒醡之汁無異、以色列族所輸爾什一之中、爾當舉而獻我、且以獻我之物、歸祭司亞倫。所得禮物中、必取其嘉者、以為成聖、舉而獻我。宜申命利未人、既簡其嘉者、舉而獻我、我必視若禾場酒醡之所出、其餘、爾與眷聚、隨在可食、蓋爾供役於會幕、得此為值。以色列族所獻之聖物、如取其嘉者、舉而獻我、則不生瀆玩、不負罪愆、以致死亡。

屬於雅各同來埃及者、共六十六人、所娶之媳不與焉。

惟利未族之杖書亞倫名立於支派各杖中。當置其杖於會幕法匱前我蒞臨之所、我所簡者其杖必萌芽、使以色列族怨爾之言得以止息。摩西以此言普告以色列族支派牧伯、各攜其杖、計十有二、又有亞倫之杖在其中。摩西置諸會幕、耶和華法匱前。詰旦摩西入焉、見亞倫之杖、屬利未族者、芽櫱已萌、花蕊盡發、結為杏仁。摩西取杖於耶和華前、授以色列族、使之觀瞻、任人各取其杖、耶和華諭摩西曰、攜亞倫杖至法匱前、存之為誌、使此橫逆之輩、無所怨尤、免其殞沒。
