Now consider how great this man[ was], unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

你們當想一想，這個人多麼偉大！連先祖亞伯拉罕也從最好的戰利品中把十分之一獻給他。

試思先祖亞伯拉罕、以所獲之極品什一贈之、其人之尊為何如耶、

爾試思之、先祖亞伯拉罕、取戰時所獲者十分之一、輸麥基洗德、則其尊為何若、

爾試思之、祖亞伯拉罕、以所獲者什取一以供之、則其人之尊貴何如、

爾等盍一思之、我先祖亞伯漢、且以其戰利珍品什一以貢焉、則麥基德之尊貴為何如乎？

Just think how great he was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder!

Think how great Melchizedek was! Even our father Abraham gave him a tenth of what he had captured.

See how great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils!

Consider then how great this Melchizedek was. Even Abraham, the great patriarch of Israel, recognized this by giving him a tenth of what he had taken in battle.

Now consider how great this man was: even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the plunder to him.

Now observe how great this man was to whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth of the choicest spoils.

Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils.

Now consider how great this man was, unto whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the chief spoils.

Now consider how great this man was— even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the plunder to him!

But see how great he must be, if Abraham the patriarch gave him a tithe of his plunder.

Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the best plunder.

Men[ and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so[ Abraham] begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac[ begat] Jacob; and Jacob[ begat] the twelve patriarchs.And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.And if ye[ be] Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

( As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed,[ even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which[ he had yet] being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which[ he had] being[ yet] uncircumcised.For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world,[ was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
