For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

這樣的一位大祭司，對我們本是合適的。他是聖潔、沒有邪惡、沒有玷污、從罪人中分別出來、高過眾天的。

這樣的大祭司、虔聖、無邪、無染污、隔離罪人、高過諸天、正合乎我們所需要的。

這樣一位聖潔、沒有邪惡、毫無玷汙、與罪人分開、高過諸天的大祭司，對我們實在是合宜的。

夫如是之大祭司、宜乎我儕、乃至聖無惡無污、遠乎罪人、高出諸天、

我之祭司長應為敬虔、無不善、無纖垢、遠乎罪人、直造乎天之極、

如此大祭司、原為我儕所需、聖潔、無玷無垢、遠乎罪人、升天無上、

嗟夫、有若斯聖善純正、無玷無染、遠絕乎罪人、而超軼乎諸天之上者、作吾人之大司祭、不亦美乎！

Such a high priest truly meets our need— one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

A high priest like that really meets our need. He is holy, pure and without blame. He isn’t like other people. He does not sin. He is lifted high above the heavens.

For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has been set apart from sinners and has been given the highest place of honor in heaven.

For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens;

For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;

For such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

For such an high priest became us,[ who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

For it is indeed fitting for us to have such a high priest: holy, innocent, undefiled, separate from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Now the main point of what is being said is this: We have this kind of high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens— Jesus the Son of God— let us hold fast to the confession.For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin.

He did not commit sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth;

He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.

Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins.But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.He is now waiting until His enemies are made His footstool.For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified.The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. For after He says:This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws on their hearts and write them on their minds,He adds: I will never again remember their sins and their lawless acts.Now where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.Therefore, brothers, since we have boldness to enter the sanctuary through the blood of Jesus,by a new and living way He has opened for us through the curtain( that is, His flesh),and since we have a great high priest over the house of God,let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.

When the centurion saw what happened, he began to glorify God, saying,“ This man really was righteous!”

We are punished justly, because we’re getting back what we deserve for the things we did, but this man has done nothing wrong.”

keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact expression of His nature, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

how much more will the blood of the Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to serve the living God?

If then, perfection came through the Levitical priesthood( for under it the people received the law), what further need was there for another priest to appear, said to be in the order of Melchizedek and not in the order of Aaron?

“ For, in fact, in this city both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed,

For in bringing many sons to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God— all things exist for Him and through Him— should make the source of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

“ You are to make a pure gold medallion and engrave it, like the engraving of a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD.

The angel replied to her:“ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.

For this reason God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name,so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow— of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth—and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

For he knew they had handed Him over because of envy.

He demonstrated this power in the Messiah by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavens—far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given, not only in this age but also in the one to come.And He put everything under His feet and appointed Him as head over everything for the church,

Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves to be purified with better sacrifices than these.For the Messiah did not enter a sanctuary made with hands( only a model of the true one) but into heaven itself, so that He might now appear in the presence of God for us.He did not do this to offer Himself many times, as the high priest enters the sanctuary yearly with the blood of another.Otherwise, He would have had to suffer many times since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared one time, at the end of the ages, for the removal of sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

Now that He has gone into heaven, He is at God’s right hand with angels, authorities, and powers subject to Him.

The One who sent Me is with Me. He has not left Me alone, because I always do what pleases Him.”

A third time he said to them,“ Why? What has this man done wrong? I have found in Him no grounds for the death penalty. Therefore, I will have Him whipped and then release Him.”

Didn’t the Messiah have to suffer these things and enter into His glory?”

Then after speaking to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

They made His grave with the wicked and with a rich man at His death, although He had done no violence and had not spoken deceitfully.

You ascended to the heights, taking away captives; You received gifts from people, even from the rebellious, so that the Lord God might live there.

I will not talk with you much longer, because the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over Me.

For it says: When He ascended on high, He took prisoners into captivity; He gave gifts to people.But what does“ He ascended” mean except that He descended to the lower parts of the earth?The One who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.

But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked to have a murderer given to you.

He also said to them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day,

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. He laid His right hand on me and said,“ Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last,and the Living One. I was dead, but look— I am alive forever and ever, and I hold the keys of death and Hades.

“ Write to the angel of the church in Philadelphia:“ The Holy One, the True One, the One who has the key of David, who opens and no one will close, and closes and no one opens says:

but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.
