上帝只對耶穌說過：「主起了誓，絕不反悔，你永遠做祭司。」

至于那些祭司，原不是起誓立的，只有耶稣是起誓立的；因为那立他的对他说：“主起了誓，决不后悔，你是永远为祭司。”

只有耶稣是起誓立的，因为那位立他的对他说：“主起了誓，绝不改变。你是永远为祭司。”

只有耶稣是起誓立的，因为那位立他的对他说：“主起了誓，绝不改变。你是永远为祭司。”

上帝只对耶稣说过：“主起了誓，绝不反悔，你永远做祭司。”

只有耶稣是用誓言立的，因为那立他的对他说：“主已经起了誓，决不改变，你永远作祭司。”

可是耶稣藉着对他说话的那一位是有誓言保证的：“主起了誓，不会后悔：‘你是祭司，直到永远。’”

先前的人被立為祭司、原沒有起誓的事；惟獨關於他、卻有起誓的事：乃是藉那對他說話者所起的，說：『主起了誓、決不改變心意；你做祭司、直到永遠』）。

可是耶穌藉著對他說話的那一位是有誓言保證的：「主起了誓，不會後悔：『你是祭司，直到永遠。』」

他祭司則無誓而立、惟斯則以誓、因諭之者云、主誓不悔、爾永為祭司、

利未人為祭司、皆不以誓而立、惟耶穌則以誓、蓋經指之云、主誓而不改、爾永為祭司、循麥基洗德之等次、

經云：『主既立誓豈能悔、爾為司祭永無替。』此即天主向耶穌所立之誓也。

but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him:“ The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind:‘ You are a priest forever.’”

But Jesus became a priest with a promise. God said to him,“ The Lord has given his word and made a promise. He will not change his mind. He has said,‘ You are a priest forever.’ ”( Psalm 110:4)

but this one was made a priest with an oath by the one who said to him:“ The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind,‘ You are a priest forever.’”

but there was an oath regarding Jesus. For God said to him,“ The Lord has taken an oath and will not break his vow:‘ You are a priest forever.’”

but he became a priest with an oath made by the one who said to him: The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind,“ You are a priest forever.”

( for they indeed became priests without an oath, but He with an oath through the One who said to Him,“ The Lord has sworn And will not change His mind,‘ You are a priest forever’ ”);

( for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him:“ The Lord has sworn And will not relent,‘ You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek’”),

( for they indeed have been made priests without an oath; but he with an oath by him that saith of him, The Lord sware and will not repent himself, Thou art a priest for ever);

but He became a priest with an oath made by the One who said to Him: The Lord has sworn, and He will not change His mind, You are a priest forever.

( For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou[ art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

but Jesus did so with a sworn affirmation by the one who said to him,“ The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind,‘ You are a priest forever’”–

( for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him,“ The Lord swore and will not change his mind,‘ You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’”

耶和華起了誓，永不反悔，祂說：「你照麥基洗德的模式永遠做祭司。」

因為有一處經文為祂做見證說：「你照麥基洗德的模式永遠做祭司。」

以色列榮耀的上帝不說謊、也不改變心意，因為祂不是多變的世人。」

人總是指著比自己更大的起誓，並用誓言作保證，了結各樣的爭論。同樣，上帝為要向承受應許的人顯明祂的旨意絕不更改，就用誓言向他們保證。上帝絕不說謊，祂將永不改變的應許和誓言給了我們，使我們這些尋找避難所、持定擺在前面之盼望的人可以大得鼓勵。
