如今你們既已認識上帝（倒不如說被上帝所認識），怎麼還要再回去歸向那些軟弱貧乏的「星質之靈」，情願重再給它們做奴僕呢？

律法是設立了許多人做大祭司、總是有弱點的人；但律法之後起誓的話卻是設立了一個兒子、是完全勝任到永遠的。

惟獨他、因永遠長存、就有不能讓與人的祭司職分。因此凡藉着他而進到上帝面前的人、他都能拯救到底；因為他總是活着、替他們請求。

因為有作見證的說：『你永遠做祭司，照麥基洗德的等次』。

律法所有的既僅僅是將來美好事物的影兒，而不是那些事物的本體，它總不能用人們每年不斷供獻的同樣祭物使上前去敬拜的人完全無罪。

（那種帳幕原是表樣、象徵這現世時期的）；按這制度，所供獻的禮物和祭物都不能使禮拜的人良知上完全潔淨，只是關於飲食和幾樣不同的洗濯、不過是屬肉身的律例、制定着到改正時期為止罷了。
