現在你們既然認識神，更可說是被神所認識的，怎麼還要歸回那懦弱無用的小學，情願再給他作奴僕呢？

我們為孩童的時候，受管於世俗小學之下，也是如此。

又是那存活的；我曾死過，現在又活了，直活到永永遠遠；並且拿着死亡和陰間的鑰匙。

你們若是與基督同死，脫離了世上的小學，為甚麼仍像在世俗中活着、服從那「不可拿、不可嘗、不可摸」等類的規條呢？

他無父，無母，無族譜，無生之始，無命之終，乃是與神的兒子相似。

律法本是立軟弱的人為大祭司；但在律法以後起誓的話，是立兒子為大祭司，乃是成全到永遠的。

這位既是永遠常存的，他祭司的職任就長久不更換。凡靠着他進到神面前的人，他都能拯救到底；因為他是長遠活着，替他們祈求。

因為有給他作見證的說：「你是照着麥基洗德的等次永遠為祭司。」

律法既是將來美事的影兒，不是本物的真像，總不能藉着每年常獻一樣的祭物叫那近前來的人得以完全。

那頭一層帳幕作現今的一個表樣，所獻的禮物和祭物，就着良心說，都不能叫禮拜的人得以完全。這些事，連那飲食和諸般洗濯的規矩，都不過是屬肉體的條例，命定到振興的時候為止。

又塗抹了在律例上所寫、攻擊我們、有礙於我們的字據，把它撤去，釘在十字架上。

至於那些祭司，原不是起誓立的，只有耶穌是起誓立的；因為那立他的對他說：「主起了誓，決不後悔，你是永遠為祭司。」
