譬如土壤、時雨潤之、百物生之、農夫利之、上帝培之、

譬諸地土、屢得雨潤而生百物、供耕者之用、則天主必降福於斯地、

譬如地土、甘霖時降、飽受滋潤、而產百穀、有益於耕耘之人、則天主福焉。

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be patient until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.

Sow righteousness for yourselves and reap faithful love; break up your unplowed ground. It is time to seek the LORD until he comes and sends righteousness on you like the rain.

They supply water for every wild beast; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.The birds of the sky live beside the springs; they make their voices heard among the foliage.He waters the mountains from his palace; the earth is satisfied by the fruit of your labor.

Don’t be afraid, land; rejoice and be glad, for the LORD has done astonishing things.Don’t be afraid, wild animals, for the wilderness pastures have turned green, the trees bear their fruit, and the fig tree and grapevine yield their riches.Children of Zion, rejoice and be glad in the LORD your God, because he gives you the autumn rain for your vindication. You visit the earth and water it abundantly, enriching it greatly. God’s stream is filled with water, for you prepare the earth in this way, providing people with grain.You soften it with showers and bless its growth, soaking its furrows and leveling its ridges.You crown the year with your goodness; your carts overflow with plenty.The wilderness pastures overflow, and the hills are robed with joy.The pastures are clothed with flocks and the valleys covered with grain. They shout in triumph; indeed, they sing.

The LORD will make you prosper abundantly with offspring, the offspring of your livestock, and your land’s produce in the land the LORD swore to your ancestors to give you.The LORD will open for you his abundant storehouse, the sky, to give your land rain in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.

For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return there without saturating the earth and making it germinate and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat,so my word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.”You will indeed go out with joy and be peacefully guided; the mountains and the hills will break into singing before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.Instead of the thornbush, a cypress will come up, and instead of the brier, a myrtle will come up; this will stand as a monument for the LORD, an everlasting sign that will not be destroyed.

He will receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
