For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become partakers of the Holy Spirit,

論到那些已經蒙了光照、嘗過天恩的滋味、又於聖靈有份、並嘗過上帝的話的美味，和來世權能的人，若再離棄真道，就不可能使他們重新懊悔了；因為他們親自把上帝的兒子重釘十字架，公然羞辱他。

原來，如果有人蒙過一次光照、嘗過屬天恩賜的滋味、曾經與聖靈有份、

夫人既蒙光照、得承天賚、共與聖神、

乃有始則明道、蒙天錫賚、共享聖神、

蓋人已蒙光照、受天上賞賜、得聖神之感、

蓋人若曾蒙光照、曾味靈寵、曾受聖神、

It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,

What if some people fall away from the faith? It won’t be possible to bring them back. It is true that they have seen the light. They have tasted the heavenly gift. They have shared in the Holy Spirit.

For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit,

For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened— those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit,

For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, who shared in the Holy Spirit,

For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit,

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,

For as touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,

For[ it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,

For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us,but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume God’s enemies.Someone who rejected the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.How much greater punishment do you think that person deserves who has contempt for the Son of God, and profanes the blood of the covenant that made him holy, and insults the Spirit of grace?

For if after they have escaped the filthy things of the world through the rich knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they again get entangled in them and succumb to them, their last state has become worse for them than their first.For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than, having known it, to turn back from the holy commandment that had been delivered to them.They are illustrations of this true proverb:“ A dog returns to its own vomit,” and“ A sow, after washing herself, wallows in the mire.”

“ You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its flavor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled on by people.

If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown out like a branch, and dries up; and such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and are burned up.

If anyone sees his fellow Christian committing a sin not resulting in death, he should ask, and God will grant life to the person who commits a sin not resulting in death. There is a sin resulting in death. I do not say that he should ask about that.

Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there, so the last state of that person is worse than the first. It will be that way for this evil generation as well!”

“ Not everyone who says to me,‘ Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven– only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.On that day, many will say to me,‘ Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons and do many powerful deeds?’

But remember the former days when you endured a harsh conflict of suffering after you were enlightened.

“ When an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it passes through waterless places looking for rest but not finding any. Then it says,‘ I will return to the home I left.’When it returns, it finds the house swept clean and put in order.Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there, so the last state of that person is worse than the first.”

Then he uttered this oracle:“ The oracle of Balaam son of Beor; the oracle of the man whose eyes are open;the oracle of the one who hears the words of God, and who knows the knowledge of the Most High, who sees a vision from the Almighty, although falling flat on the ground with eyes open:

John replied,“ No one can receive anything unless it has been given to him from heaven.

correcting opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth

The only thing I want to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law or by believing what you heard?

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God;

See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God, that no one be like a bitter root springing up and causing trouble, and through him many become defiled.And see to it that no one becomes an immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal.For you know that later when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no opportunity for repentance, although he sought the blessing with tears.

For this reason I tell you, people will be forgiven for every sin and blasphemy, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven. But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Do not neglect the spiritual gift you have, given to you and confirmed by prophetic words when the elders laid hands on you.

while God confirmed their witness with signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

The circumcised believers who had accompanied Peter were greatly astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles,

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.By his sovereign plan he gave us birth through the message of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

Then Jesus told them,“ I tell you the solemn truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but my Father is giving you the true bread from heaven.

I became a servant of this gospel according to the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the exercise of his power.

Jesus answered her,“ If you had known the gift of God and who it is who said to you,‘ Give me some water to drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

Does God then give you the Spirit and work miracles among you by your doing the works of the law or by your believing what you heard?

Look, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions and on the full force of the enemy, and nothing will hurt you.Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names stand written in heaven.”

But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire God’s gift with money!

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

And God, who knows the heart, has testified to them by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us,

Alexander the coppersmith did me a great deal of harm. The Lord will repay him in keeping with his deeds.

Then he uttered this oracle:“ The oracle of Balaam son of Beor; the oracle of the man whose eyes are open;

For I long to see you, so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you,

Therefore if God gave them the same gift as he also gave us after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to hinder God?”
