God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

God is fair. He will not forget what you have done. He will remember the love you have shown him. You showed it when you helped his people. And you show it when you keep on helping them.

For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.

Don’t neglect to do what is good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

We recall, in the presence of our God and Father, your work produced by faith, your labor motivated by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

The one who oppresses the poor person insults his Maker, but one who is kind to the needy honors him.

And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Staring at him in awe, he said,“ What is it, Lord?” The angel told him,“ Your prayers and your acts of charity have ascended as a memorial offering before God.

Now all the believers were together and held all things in common.They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need.

Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality.

You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us.For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.Because of the proof provided by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone.And as they pray on your behalf, they will have deep affection for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers and sisters. The one who does not love remains in death.Everyone who hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.This is how we have come to know love: He laid down his life for us. We should also lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.If anyone has this world’s goods and sees a fellow believer in need but withholds compassion from him— how does God’s love reside in him?Little children, let us not love in word or speech, but in action and in truth.

We want you to know, brothers and sisters, about the grace of God that was given to the churches of Macedonia:During a severe trial brought about by affliction, their abundant joy and their extreme poverty overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part.I can testify that, according to their ability and even beyond their ability, of their own accord,they begged us earnestly for the privilege of sharing in the ministry to the saints,and not just as we had hoped. Now about the collection for the saints: Do the same as I instructed the Galatian churches.On the first day of the week, each of you is to set something aside and save in keeping with how he is prospering, so that no collections will need to be made when I come.When I arrive, I will send with letters those you recommend to carry your gift to Jerusalem.

and said,‘ Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your acts of charity have been remembered in God’s sight.

Kindness to the poor is a loan to the LORD, and he will give a reward to the lender.

Remember me favorably, my God, for all that I have done for this people.

Should good be repaid with evil? Yet they have dug a pit for me. Remember how I stood before you to speak good on their behalf, to turn your anger from them.

Right now I am traveling to Jerusalem to serve the saints,because Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.Yes, they were pleased, and indeed are indebted to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual benefits, then they are obligated to minister to them in material needs.

There is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me, but to all those who have loved his appearing.

In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha( which is translated Dorcas). She was always doing good works and acts of charity.About that time she became sick and died. After washing her, they placed her in a room upstairs.Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples heard that Peter was there and sent two men to him who urged him,“ Don’t delay in coming with us.”Peter got up and went with them. When he arrived, they led him to the room upstairs. And all the widows approached him, weeping and showing him the robes and clothes that Dorcas had made while she was with them.

since it is just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict youand to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant,is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs.Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth.It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Truly I tell you, whoever receives anyone I send receives me, and the one who receives me receives him who sent me.”

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision accomplishes anything; what matters is faith working through love.
