Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

越多年後、於大衛書中、復定一日曰、爾今日若聽主之言、則勿剛愎爾心、

迨至大維之時、年代相隔雖久、天主又假大維之口、另定一日、則今日是已；正如前引之詩所云：『今日若聞慈音、慎毋鐵石乃心！』

God again set a certain day, calling it“ Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted:“ Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”

So God again chose a certain day. He named it Today. He did this when he spoke through David a long time later. Here is what was written in the Scripture already given.“ Listen to his voice today. If you hear it, don’t be stubborn.”( Psalm 95:7, 8)

So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted:“ Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”

For he[ is] our God; and we[ are] the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

Wherefore( as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Men[ and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

And after that he gave[ unto them] judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the[ son] of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.Of this man’s seed hath God according to[ his] promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
