既然这安息还留着要让一些人进去，但那些以前听过福音的人，因为不顺从不得进去；

既有必进安息的人，那先前听见福音的，因为不信从，不得进去。

所以，既然这安息为了一些进入它的人被保留下来，可是由于那些原先得以听到福音的人，因着不信从而没有进去，

所以，既然這安息為了一些進入它的人被保留下來，可是由於那些原先得以聽到福音的人，因著不信從而沒有進去，

既有宜入之人、而先聞福音者、因不順故不入、

然安息終必有人享之、而先聞嘉音者不信故不得享、

如是、必別有得享安息者、但先聞福音者、因不信故、而不得享、

可見後來者必有得入者焉。彼先聞慈音者之不得入、徒以執迷不悟故耳。

Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,

It is still true that some people will enjoy this rest. But those who had the good news announced to them earlier didn’t go in. That’s because they didn’t obey.

Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience,

So God’s rest is there for people to enter, but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God.

Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news did not enter because of disobedience,

Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who previously had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,

Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,

因此我告诉你们，神的国要从你们那里取去，赐给那结果子的外族人。

他又向谁起誓说，他们绝对不可以进入他的安息呢？不就是向那些不顺从的人吗？这样看来，他们不能进入安息，是因为不信的缘故。

但是你们的孩子，就是你们所说他们必被掳掠的，我要把他们领进去，他们必得着你们厌弃的那地。

你们必留下自己的名，作我选民的咒语；主耶和华必杀死你们，必用另外的名去称呼他自己的仆人。

保罗和巴拿巴却放胆说：“神的道，先讲给你们听，是应该的。但因为你们弃绝这道，断定自己不配得永生，所以我们现在就转向外族人去了。因为主曾这样吩咐我们说：‘我已立你作外族人的光，使你把救恩带到地极去。’”

所以你们要到大路口，凡遇见的，都请来参加婚筵。’“那些仆人就走到街上，把所有遇见的，不论好人坏人，都招聚了来，婚筵上就坐满了人。

因为有福音传给我们，像传给他们一样，只是他们所听见的道，对他们没有益处，因为他们没有用信心与所听见的打成一片（“没有用信心与所听见的打成一片”，有古卷作“没有用信心与听从这道的人打成一片”）。

我要用瘟疫击杀他们，除灭他们；我要使你成为大国，比他们还强。”

圣经既然预先看见神要使外族人因信称义，就预先把好信息传给亚伯拉罕：“万国都必因你得福。”

所以你们应当知道，神这救恩，已经传给外族人，他们也必听从。”（有些抄本在此有第29节：“他说了这话，犹太人中间大起争论，就走了。”）

仆人回来把这些事告诉他主人，家主就发怒，对仆人说：‘快到城里大街小巷去，把贫穷的、残废的、瞎眼的、瘸腿的，都领到这里来。’仆人说：‘主啊，你所吩咐的已经办了，还有空位。’主人就对仆人说：‘你出去到路边篱畔，勉强人进来，好把我的屋子坐满。我告诉你们，先前请的那些人，一个也不得尝我的筵席。’”

这样看来，为了神的子民，必定另外有一个“安息日”的安息保留下来。
