既然最终会有人进入安息，而那些从前听过福音的人因为不信没能进去，

既有必进安息的人，那先前听见福音的，因为不信从，不得进去。

既然这安息还留着要让一些人进去，但那些以前听过福音的人，因为不顺从不得进去；

所以，既然这安息为了一些进入它的人被保留下来，可是由于那些原先得以听到福音的人，因着不信从而没有进去，

那麼這安息既保留着要給一部分人進入，而先前得聽福音傳給他們的人又因不信、而沒有進入，

所以，既然這安息為了一些進入它的人被保留下來，可是由於那些原先得以聽到福音的人，因著不信從而沒有進去，

既有宜入之人、而先聞福音者、因不順故不入、

然安息終必有人享之、而先聞嘉音者不信故不得享、

如是、必別有得享安息者、但先聞福音者、因不信故、而不得享、

可見後來者必有得入者焉。彼先聞慈音者之不得入、徒以執迷不悟故耳。

Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,

It is still true that some people will enjoy this rest. But those who had the good news announced to them earlier didn’t go in. That’s because they didn’t obey.

Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience,

So God’s rest is there for people to enter, but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God.

Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news did not enter because of disobedience,

Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who previously had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,

Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,

Seeing therefore it remaineth that some should enter thereinto, and they to whom the good tidings were before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience,

所以，我告诉你们，将把上帝的国从你们那里夺去，赐给结果子的人。

上帝起誓不准谁进入祂的安息呢？不就是那些不肯信从的人吗？可见，他们不能进入上帝的安息是因为不信的缘故。

你们说你们的儿女会被掳去，但我要把他们带到那里，让他们享有那片你们厌弃的土地。

我的选民必用你们的名字作咒诅，主耶和华必杀死你们，给祂的仆人另起名字。

保罗和巴拿巴毫不畏惧地说：“上帝的道本该先传给你们，你们既然拒绝接受，认为自己不配得永生，我们现在就把这道传给外族人。因为主这样吩咐我们，“‘我已使你成为外族人的光，好把救恩带到地极。’”

所以你们到街头巷尾，把所有见到的人都请来。’奴仆到街上把遇到的人都请了来，好人坏人都有，大厅里满了客人。

因为我们和他们一样听到了福音，只是他们听了道后没有凭信心领受，结果没有得到益处。

我要用瘟疫毁灭他们，不让他们承受那片土地。但我要使你成为大国，比他们更强盛。”

圣经早就指明，上帝要叫外族人因信而被称为义人，祂预先将福音传给亚伯拉罕，说：“万国必因你而蒙福。”

所以你们当知道，上帝的救恩已经传给了外族人，他们也必听。”

奴仆回来将这些话告诉主人，主人非常生气，于是对奴仆说，‘快出去到城里的大街小巷把贫穷的、残疾的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的都请来。’奴仆说，‘主人啊，我照你的吩咐办了，可是还有空位。’主人又说，‘出去到大路上、篱笆旁硬把人拉来，让我家里座无虚席。我告诉你们，原来邀请的那些人没有一个能尝到我的宴席！’”

这样说来，必定另有一个安息日为上帝的子民存留，使他们可以真正安歇。

弟兄们，我告诉你们，时日不多了，从今以后，那些有妻子的，要像没有妻子的；
