For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.

The good news was announced to our people of long ago. It has also been preached to us. The message they heard didn’t have any value for them. That’s because they didn’t share the faith of those who obeyed.

For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.

For this good news— that God has prepared this rest— has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God.

为此，我们也不断地感谢神，因为你们听见我们所传神的道的时候，你们领受了，不以为这是人的道，而以为这确实是神的道，而且在你们信主的人当中运行着。

但不是每一个人都听从福音，因为以赛亚说：“主啊，我们所传的有谁信呢？”可见，信道是从听道来的，听道是从基督的话来的。

没有信，就不能讨神的喜悦，因为到神面前来的人必须信有神，并且信他会赏赐寻求他的人。

因操练身体有些益处；但敬虔在各方面都有益，它有现今和未来的生命的应许。

因为我们的福音传到你们那里，不仅在言语，也在能力，也在圣灵和充足的确信。你们知道，我们在你们那里，为你们的缘故是怎样为人。

你们知道，我因为身体有疾病才有第一次传福音给你们的机会。

弟兄们，你们要谨慎，免得你们中间有人存着邪恶不信的心，离弃了永生的神。

神既兴起他的仆人，就先差他到你们这里来，赐福给你们，使各人回转，离开你们的邪恶。”

所以，你们要除去一切的污秽和累积的恶毒，要存温柔的心领受所栽种的道，就是能救你们灵魂的道。

你若遵行律法，割礼固然于你有益；若违犯律法，你的割礼就算不得割礼。

既有这安息保留着让一些人进入，那些先前听见福音的人，因不信从而不得进去，

我若将所有的财产救济穷人，又牺牲自己的身体让人夸赞，却没有爱，仍然对我无益。

于是保罗和巴拿巴放胆说：“神的道本应先传给你们；只因你们弃绝这道，断定自己不配得永生，我们就转向外邦人。

他向谁起誓，不容他们进入他的安息呢？岂不是向那些不信从的人吗？这样看来，他们不能进入安息是因为不信的缘故了。

他们得了启示，知道他们所服事的不是自己，而是你们。那藉着从天上差来的圣灵传福音给你们的人，现在将这些事传给你们；这些事连天使也都切望察看呢！

使一切不信真理、倒喜爱不义的人都被定罪。主所爱的弟兄们哪，我们本该常为你们感谢神，因为他拣选你们为初熟的果子，使你们因信真道，又蒙圣灵感化成圣，得到拯救。

圣经既然预先看见神要使外邦人因信称义，预先传福音给亚伯拉罕，说：“万国都必因你得福。”
