For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.

The good news was announced to our people of long ago. It has also been preached to us. The message they heard didn’t have any value for them. That’s because they didn’t share the faith of those who obeyed.

For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.

For this good news— that God has prepared this rest— has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God.

為此，我們也不住地感謝神，因你們聽見我們所傳神的道就領受了；不以為是人的道，乃以為是神的道。這道實在是神的，並且運行在你們信主的人心中。

只是人沒有都聽從福音，因為以賽亞說：「主啊，我們所傳的有誰信呢？」可見，信道是從聽道來的，聽道是從基督的話來的。

人非有信，就不能得神的喜悅；因為到神面前來的人必須信有神，且信他賞賜那尋求他的人。

「操練身體，益處還少；惟獨敬虔，凡事都有益處，因有今生和來生的應許。」

因為我們的福音傳到你們那裏，不獨在乎言語，也在乎權能和聖靈，並充足的信心。正如你們知道，我們在你們那裏，為你們的緣故是怎樣為人。

你們知道我頭一次傳福音給你們，是因為身體有疾病。

弟兄們，你們要謹慎，免得你們中間或有人存着不信的惡心，把永生神離棄了。

神既興起他的僕人，就先差他到你們這裏來，賜福給你們，叫你們各人回轉，離開罪惡。」

所以，你們要脫去一切的污穢和盈餘的邪惡，存溫柔的心領受那所栽種的道，就是能救你們靈魂的道。

你若是行律法的，割禮固然於你有益；若是犯律法的，你的割禮就算不得割禮。

既有必進安息的人，那先前聽見福音的，因為不信從，不得進去。

我若將所有的賙濟窮人，又捨己身叫人焚燒，卻沒有愛，仍然與我無益。

保羅和巴拿巴放膽說：「神的道先講給你們原是應當的；只因你們棄絕這道，斷定自己不配得永生，我們就轉向外邦人去。

又向誰起誓，不容他們進入他的安息呢？豈不是向那些不信從的人嗎？這樣看來，他們不能進入安息是因為不信的緣故了。

他們得了啟示，知道他們所傳講的一切事，不是為自己，乃是為你們。那靠着從天上差來的聖靈傳福音給你們的人，現在將這些事報給你們；天使也願意詳細察看這些事。

使一切不信真理、倒喜愛不義的人都被定罪。主所愛的弟兄們哪，我們本該常為你們感謝神；因為他從起初揀選了你們，叫你們因信真道，又被聖靈感動，成為聖潔，能以得救。

並且聖經既然預先看明，神要叫外邦人因信稱義，就早已傳福音給亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國都必因你得福。」
