For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.

我们也为这缘故不住感谢神，因为你们接受了我们所传的神的道，不认为这是人的道，而认为这确实是神的道。这道也运行在你们信的人里面。

但并不是所有的人都顺从福音，因为以赛亚说：“主啊，我们所传的，有谁信呢？”可见信心是从所听的道来的，所听的道是藉着基督的话来的。

没有信，就不能得到神的喜悦；因为来到神面前的人，必须信神存在，并且信他会赏赐那些寻求他的人。

因为操练身体，益处还少；唯独操练敬虔，凡事有益，享有今生和来世的应许。

因为我们的福音传到你们那里，不单是藉着言语，也是藉着权能，藉着圣灵和充足的信心。为了你们的缘故，我们在你们中间为人怎样，这是你们知道的。

你们知道，我第一次传福音给你们，是因为身体有病。

弟兄们，你们要小心，免得你们中间有人存着邪恶、不信的心，以致离弃了永活的神；

神先给你们兴起他的仆人，差他来祝福你们，使你们各人回转，离开邪恶。”

所以你们应当摆脱一切污秽和所有的邪恶，以温柔的心领受神栽种的道；这道能救你们的灵魂。

你若遵行律法，割礼固然有益处；但你若是犯律法的，你的割礼就不是割礼了。

既然这安息还留着要让一些人进去，但那些以前听过福音的人，因为不顺从不得进去；

我若把一切所有的分给人，又舍己身被人焚烧，却没有爱，对我仍然毫无益处。

保罗和巴拿巴却放胆说：“神的道，先讲给你们听，是应该的。但因为你们弃绝这道，断定自己不配得永生，所以我们现在就转向外族人去了。

他又向谁起誓说，他们绝对不可以进入他的安息呢？不就是向那些不顺从的人吗？这样看来，他们不能进入安息，是因为不信的缘故。

他们蒙了启示，为这些事效力，并不是为自己，而是为你们。现在，藉着传福音给你们的人，靠着从天上差来的圣灵，把这些事传给了你们；甚至天使也很想详细察看这些事。

叫所有不信真理倒喜爱不义的人，都被定罪。主所爱的弟兄们，我们应该常常为你们感谢神，因为他从起初就拣选了你们，藉着圣灵成圣的工作，和你们对真道的信心，使你们可以得救。

圣经既然预先看见神要使外族人因信称义，就预先把好信息传给亚伯拉罕：“万国都必因你得福。”
