兄弟當黽勉、以明上帝選爾召爾、由是而行、無不得救、上帝鴻恩、賜爾躋吾救主耶穌基督永存之國、

昔爾曹不信上帝、今轉緣以色列人之不信、而蒙矜恤、是則以色列人雖不信、亦緣爾之得矜恤、而得矜恤矣、上帝藩萬人於不信之中者、特欲矜恤眾耳、

勿為可敗之糧而勞、當為永生之糧而勞、即人子與爾者、蓋父上帝以印命之也、

我所愛弟子、不第晤對時聽受、即暌違時、益見其然、勸爾畏懼戰慄、力行以得救、

我儕素無知弗信、見惑於人、從嗜慾、樂佚樂、暴戾、媢嫉、為人所怨、而己亦尤人、

當進窄門、引而之死、其門也闊、其路也寛、入之者多、
