while it is said,“ Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”

Turn your ear, and come to me. Hear, and your soul will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me.

he again defines a certain day, today, saying through David so long a time afterward( just as has been said),“ Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”

Oh that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called“ today”, lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

Working together, we entreat also that you do not receive the grace of God in vain,for he says,“ At an acceptable time I listened to you. In a day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.

The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.

For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.For you ought to say,“ If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.”
